About This Pub

Ah, The Flute in Liverpool is one of those places that really gets your heart racing, especially if you're a fan of live sports – think multiple screens showing everything from Premier League footie to rugby, all in a welcoming setting with plenty of seating and even pool tables for a bit of extra fun. I love how they've got affordable options and student deals that make it easy on the pocket, plus events like Monday quizzes or Friday karaoke that keep the energy high and the crowd engaged. On the flip side, it can turn into a bit of a madhouse when it's busy, with the noise and crowds making it hard to hear yourself think, and some folks have mentioned the service dragging, like waiting ages for a simple meal. Still, it's a solid choice for a night out if you're up for the vibe, just pop in on a quieter evening if you fancy a more relaxed catch-up over drinks.

Pros and Cons

Pros
  • The atmosphere is absolutely buzzing, especially for watching sports with loads of screens making sure you catch every moment.
  • It's wallet-friendly with inexpensive prices, great student offers, and a variety of drinks and pub grub to choose from.
  • The staff are genuinely friendly and welcoming, adding to that warm, community feel with events like quizzes and karaoke to keep things lively.
Cons
  • It can get incredibly loud and packed, which might spoil the fun if you're after a quieter chat.
  • Service can sometimes fall short, with waits for food stretching on, leaving you a bit frustrated on busier nights.

This is a nice sports bar, but it was too loud and crowded for my test since it is located in between colleges. The beer was amazing thou... Right temp and right taste.

Watched a liverpool fc game here and atmosphere was unbelievable. There's lots of beer and drinks to choose from and staff are friendly. All round a great place to visit.

I went to this place with my class and was very disappointed. The service was very poor, the staff seemed exasperated when we requested a simple glass of water. The food took over two and a half hours to arrive. The place was terribly loud even for a Pub. Would not recommend.

Great Atmosphere for the Football and plenty of screens for all Live Sports. There’s also a couple of Pool Tables, payable by card. Worth bringing your own cues and chalk. Clear signage for the toilets and there’s plenty of seating and space is seats are full up, like during a Match Day! The drinks here are a good price and service is quick with upbeat and friendly staff. Would recommend to anyone!
