About This Pub
Ah, The Farmhouse, it's one of those pubs that just hits the spot when you're in Norwich and fancy a proper bite to eat without breaking the bank. From what I've gathered chatting about places like this, the food stands out as a real winner – think tender roasts, flavourful veg, and generous portions that leave you satisfied. The staff are dead helpful and make you feel right at home, which is always a plus when you're settling in for a meal. It's family-friendly too, with parking that's easy to come by and a little play area for the little ones, so you can relax knowing everyone's catered for. On the flip side, the hours can be a tad unpredictable, and since it's not actively managed online, you might wonder if they'd respond quickly to any issues that crop up. Overall, though, it's a solid choice for a good night out – I'd say give it a go if you're after that warm, homely pub experience, but keep an eye on when they're open to avoid any disappointments. It's all about balancing the gems with the odd rough edge, isn't it?
Pros and Cons
Pros
-
The food is absolutely brilliant – from the carvery to starters, it's full of flavour and served at reasonable prices, making it a real treat for a meal out.
-
Service is quick, courteous, and friendly; the staff go out of their way to make you feel welcome, which really adds to the cosy atmosphere.
-
There's ample parking and a play area for kids, so it's spot on for families or anyone popping in after a day out.
-
It's got a great vibe for a relaxed visit, whether you're enjoying a Sunday roast or sharing some yummy dishes outside.
Cons
-
The operating hours seem a bit inconsistent from what I've seen, which might catch you out if you're planning a visit on a whim.
-
As it's unclaimed on Google, they might not be as quick to sort out any niggles or feedback, which could mean missing out on improvements.
-
With such high praise, it can get quite busy, so you might have to wait a bit for a table or that perfect spot.

Giid food served at reasonable prices. The service was quick and courteous. There is ample parking space and a play area for kids. Definitely a place to visit if you are in Norwich.
Just had a delicious dinner and I have to say , the staff were friendly , the food amazing ( I had the large carvery 🐷)
Thank you looking after us
Edited, Came here boxing day 2024 , 8 different meals ordered and all were very good , excellent service 👏🏻👍🏻.
Really good roast , the meats were tender , the veg and mash perfectly cooked and full of flavour , some restaurants limit the amount of Yorkshires and sausages , but here as much as you're plate / belly will take , good size car park , children's outside play area , definitely need to return and would thoroughly recommend .
Also a refeshing change not to have a service tip automatically added to the bill 👍👍👍👍👍
My friend and I went here after work. We ate outside. We shared three starters and it was yummy 😋
We have been here several times for a Sunday Carvery...wow. Simply the best!
I travel quite a lot and we stop to get a carvery whenever we can. Since we came to the Farmhouse for our first Carvery we don't want to eat anywhere but! Great staff too. It has a little play area for kids to play too.
