About This Pub

Ah, The Dun Cow – it's one of those traditional pubs that really captures the essence of a good night out in Stevenage. From what I've gathered from the buzz around it, the atmosphere is spot on, with a warm welcome and a solid choice of drinks that keep things flowing nicely. There's plenty to do too, like playing darts or pool, or just spinning tunes on the jukebox, and it's all kept tidy, which makes for a comfortable spot to unwind. On the downside, a few mates have mentioned the cask beer not always hitting the mark, and there've been times when the service fell flat with a rude barman mucking up orders, leaving a bit of a sour taste. Still, with an overall rating hovering around 4.1, it's clear this place has more hits than misses, so if you're popping by, go in with an open mind – it's a solid choice for a casual pint, just keep an eye out for those off moments.

A Traditional pub with locals however the quality of their cask beer was very poor on our visit. We have now deleted this from our places to visit when in the Old part of Stevenage.

The pub wasn’t even that busy but the barman was quite rude, mixing up the orders, repeating himself, making it an unwelcoming and unpleasant experience..

Great place, my local. I don't go every day but I'm always welcomed when i do pop in for a lovely pint. Great range of the usual beers plus some others. Great jukebox, pool table and darts, clean and well maintained. No experience of the food so no stars does not mean zero, just no review. In all great local, good atmosphere, large TV with sports and small lounge for quiet drinking and chatting. Special nights for other entertainment as well, I believe.
