About This Pub
Ah, the Coach and Horses – it's one of those pubs that just draws you in with its warm, buzzing energy. From what folks are saying, the staff are an absolute delight, always up for a chat and making sure everything runs smoothly, which really adds to the homely feel. You've got sports blaring on the screens, a pool table for a bit of friendly competition, and even live music to get the weekend going – it's spot on if you're after a good laugh with mates. The drinks selection is solid too, and that roaring fire sounds like a proper treat on a damp evening. But, let's be honest, it's not all roses; the opening times seem a bit all over the place, which could put a dampener on plans if you're not careful. And while it's fun and lively, it might feel a bit too boisterous for a relaxed night in, especially if you're not in the mood for a rowdy crowd. Overall, with a solid 4.0 rating from the crowd, it's worth a visit for a pint and some cheer, but keep in mind it might not suit every outing – still, I'd say give it a go and see if it clicks for you!
Pros and Cons
Pros
-
The staff are absolutely brilliant and really make you feel welcome, with their friendly smiles and top-notch service.
-
It's got a cracking atmosphere – lively and fun, perfect for catching sports on the screens or enjoying live music on weekends.
-
They've got a good selection of drinks, served with a smile, and little touches like a roaring fire make it cosy on a chilly evening.
-
Plenty of seating and a pool table, which is a nice bonus, especially in a smaller town like Stevenage.
Cons
-
The operating hours look a bit muddled from what I've seen, which might leave you scratching your head about when it's actually open.
-
It can get a tad laddish at times, which is great if you're up for a laugh, but might not be everyone's cup of tea if you prefer something quieter.
-
With an overall rating of 4.0, there are probably a few mixed opinions out there that aren't showing in the latest reviews, so it might not be perfect for all occasions.
-
No website means it's trickier to check out menus or events in advance, which is a shame.

Superb Pub, run by brilliant staff
Great fun, here. It was 'laddish' when I went there (just looking out for my fellow old farts who don't like that kind of thing), but they were all great fun, brilliant service, loads of sports on the screens... Marvellous.
Good pub eith pool table only one we saw nearby, for a small town it was good, weirdly had 90s' playlist which suited us
