The Duke Blackpool

You know, I had a lovely time at The Duke the other day, and I reckon it's one of those pubs that really captures the spirit of Blackpool – it's got that warm, welcoming feel with a fresh look and plenty going on. The food stands out as a real winner; I tucked into a steak and ale pie that was hearty and full of flavour, and they've got deals like curry night for just under a fiver, which is brilliant value. The bar's got a solid range of drinks to suit all tastes, and it's great for a laugh with events like sing-along sessions where you might even win a bar tab. The staff are absolute gems, always ready with a smile and a friendly word, making you feel like part of the gang. But, to be fair, it's not all perfect – on busier evenings, you might end up queuing for ages at the bar because they seem a bit short-handed, and I've heard a few tales of food not being up to scratch, like greasy onion rings or limp chips that leave you a bit disappointed. Still, overall, it's a solid choice for a night out; just pop in on a quieter day if you're after a more relaxed vibe, and you'll likely have a cracking time.
