About This Pub

Oh, what a gem Cowboy & Co. is for anyone who's mad about country music! I've got to say, chatting about this place feels like sharing a pint with mates after a great night out. The energy here is infectious, with live performances every Friday and Saturday that really bring the spirit of Nashville to the North West – think toe-tapping anthems and a crowd that's all smiles and singalongs. The staff go above and beyond; they're so welcoming and passionate, it makes the whole experience feel personal and fun, whether you're there for a casual drink or one of their special events like the Superbowl bash or a Valentine's soirée. And let's not forget, the drinks are affordably priced, which is always a win for keeping the night going without breaking the bank. On the flip side, though, it's a smaller venue, so during those live sets, it can get a tad squished, making it hard to manoeuvre if things get busy – you might end up dodging a few folks on their way to the bar. Still, for what it offers, it's a top spot that keeps drawing folks back, and I'd reckon it's well worth a visit if you're after that authentic honkytonk feel in Blackpool. All in all, it's got that perfect mix of excitement and warmth, but just keep an eye on the crowd if you're not keen on tight spaces.

Pros and Cons

Pros
  • The atmosphere is absolutely buzzing, especially for country music fans – it's like a little slice of Nashville right in Blackpool, with live music every weekend that gets everyone tapping their toes.
  • The staff are incredibly friendly and welcoming; they've got that genuine passion for what they do, making you feel right at home from the moment you walk in.
  • Drinks are reasonably priced, and they've got some great special events like Superbowl parties or Valentine's nights, plus options for private hire that sound perfect for celebrations.
  • It's a cosy spot with a real community vibe, and the live entertainment is top-notch, turning every visit into a memorable night out.
Cons
  • The venue can get a bit cramped during live shows, which might make it tricky to move around or find space, especially if it's a popular event.
  • With varying opening hours and it being closed some days, it might not be as accessible as you'd like for a spontaneous night out.

Absolutely excellent experience! Been here twice and the people who work here, the atmosphere has been far better than I ever expected from Blackpool. Anything to do with Country music or cowboys… this is your place! There is definite passion here and the owners are absolute legends!

Great place . Friendly staff, lovely lady behind bar last night. They have put so much effort into making this country venue a great place you have to visit . Great atmosphere, small venue for live music. We saw the amazing First time flyers. We would love to come back again.

Highly recommended! Last night I celebrated my 30th birthday with a private hire evening, and it was the best birthday I've ever had! Complimentary tequila shots for our party and beer pong! The best music, Fantastic staff, nothing was too much trouble and made sure the night was a blast. The best atmosphere in town! A bonus that the private hire was free, subject to a reasonable minimum spends at the bar (deposit required)

Absolutely brilliant!! I loved my evening here! Writing this on my way home as I enjoyed myself soooo much! The only down side I found was there wasn’t enough space when someone live is there. (Dolly) Especially with people walking across to use the loo. Upgrade needed. Can’t wait to see how this business enhances the county music industry in the north west ♥️♥️♥️🤠
