Came in over Pride weekend. Locals and bar staff seemed friendly, but the beer was truly awful. I had a pint of Fosters on the Saturday and it tasted off. Completely undrinkable. Came back on the Sunday and didn't think it could possibly be as bad. It was worse if anything. I've no idea why it's so hard to keep decent lager. I wonder if they've ever had any other complaints about this. Maybe it was just a bad batch? I admit I didn't bring it up with the staff. My friend had a pint of a different brand and that was bad too, so I don't know what the staff could have done really. The cash only rule is also really awkward. I wonder if this puts some people off?

I don't really like these sort of people, but it was a fun time with my mates!
I've been going in here over the years but on my last two visits was treated extremely rudely by the barmaid. On going in today about 5:45 was told that the pub was closed till 8:00 which is presumably when they raise the prices. A pity this is one of the first pubs LGBT+ visitors arriving by train will encounter.
A very unique and funky bar, cash only, no hand pulls. Karaoke and happy hour 09:00-19:00
