About This Pub
Ah, Sir Charles Napier, what a charming little spot in Leicester – it's one of those pubs that just feels like a neighbourhood favourite, you know? From what I've gathered from the reviews, the staff are absolute stars; they're cheerful and make everyone feel welcome, which really sets the tone for a relaxed evening. It's brilliant for meeting up with friends or family, especially on a Saturday night when things liven up, and the prices are spot on – nothing over the top, making it easy on the wallet. If you're a sports enthusiast, you'll love the multiple big screens showing all the action, turning it into a proper hub for match days. Plus, they've given the place a fresh makeover with nice decor that makes it feel cosy and appealing. On the flip side, it doesn't seem to shout about its food options, so if you're after a hearty pub grub experience, you might want to look elsewhere or give it another go. And honestly, it can be a bit subdued at quieter times, which isn't ideal if you're craving that buzzing energy. Overall, it's a dependable choice for a pint and a chat, with that community feel that's hard to beat – I'd say it's worth a visit if you're in the area, just keep an eye on the opening times to avoid any surprises.

It's got a brilliant atmosphere for catching up with mates or family – perfect for a good laugh and a relaxed vibe.
-
Prices are spot on and family-friendly, with some saying it's the cheapest around, which is always a win for a night out.

Loads of big TVs showing all sorts of sports, so it's a top spot if you're into watching the game with a pint.
-
The pub's had a lovely makeover, with appealing decor like nice wallpaper and chairs that make the place feel fresh and inviting.
-
It's in a local neighbourhood, which means it's super convenient and welcoming for the community.
Cons
-
Not much buzz about the food, as a few folks haven't tried it yet, so it might not be the first choice for a proper meal.
-
It can be a bit quiet at certain times, like during off-peak hours, which might not suit if you're after a lively crowd.
-
There's no website or much online presence, making it tricky to check out menus or events before you pop in.
-
The operating hours seem a tad confusing from what I've seen, so you might want to double-check before heading over.

Recent Reviews
The pub is in a local neighborhood so very close to everyone.
The prices are family friendly. I would recommend a visit to anybody!
Since my original understated review 3x months ago, I have since been a regular at this very friendly and cheerfully staffed public house.
It's unique selling point is the several generously sized TV screens showing a variety of Sports interest coverage.
But it has shown itself to be a comfortable assembly space for Family get-togethers, and even a Karaoke evening using the TV screen as Lyric prompter.
Seating + Tables are comfortable, Toilets are clean and modern.
A separate walk-through Pool Table room with serving hatch to bar, and a generously sized Twin Dart Board Alcove section in full view of Bar for supervision aspect.
The charles napier is a great place to meet with friends and family and have a laugh Rachel is a brilliant landlady and all staff Saturday nights are great
Amazing place lovely staff and great locals very welcoming brilliant prices cheapest around
I can't rate food not eaten here, can't rate atmosphere properly as I went at a quiet time, however this pub has had a makeover and is lovely inside, the chairs, wallpaper etc makes the place nice and appealing. I will definitely go back probably when they have 1 of the events on that i saw on posters inside, they look like they're a fun evening at a local pub. I hope people in the area support their local pub as too many have closed down in recent years, once you lose them it's too late to complain that you don't have a local
