About This Pub

Ah, The Crown Inn – it's one of those pubs that just feels like a second home, tucked away in Bredbury with that classic local charm. From what I've gathered from the buzz around it, the staff are an absolute delight, always up for a laugh and serving up drinks with a smile, which really sets the tone for a great evening. The atmosphere is spot on too, with live music and performers popping up on weekends, making it a lively hub where you can kick back and enjoy yourself. There's a lovely beer garden for soaking up the sun, and inside, you've got all the fun bits like pool, darts, and sports on the screens – perfect for a casual get-together. The drinks selection gets a big thumbs up as well; I mean, who knew Guinness with blackcurrant could be such a winner? But to keep it real, there was that one hiccup where someone mentioned a staff member not being at their best, which might leave you feeling a tad flat if it happens to you. Still, with such high praise overall, it's well worth a visit for anyone after a proper, welcoming pub experience – just pop in and see for yourself, you won't be disappointed.

Pros and Cons

  • A lively atmosphere with live music, bands, and performers, especially on weekends, which keeps things buzzing
  • Great drink options, including fun recommendations like Guinness with blackcurrant – it's a real treat

  • It's that kind of place where strangers quickly turn into friends, with a welcoming vibe all around
Cons
  • There have been occasional moments where service wasn't quite up to scratch, like one instance of a staff member seeming a bit off, which could put a dampener on things

I didn't ask the ladies name who is working there, but she has light colored, brownish hair. She was absolutely 💯 👌 kind and keen making some cups of tea for my friends whom I visited this pub. I've discovered the best drink ever while I was there - Guinness with blackcurrant juice 😋

Awesome little local with friendly staff. Kind of pub where everyone is a friend you just haven't met yet. Great beer garden. Sports on tv. Pool table and darts. Friendly atmosphere. Always something happening weekends either a band or performer. Well worth a visit.

The person serving me was nice, helpful, and informative. However, the bartender next to her seemed really annoyed/unresponsive due to something, and I unreasonably took that personally despite everyone else being nice to me. That lead to an undeniably odd review that I’ve since retracted as it misrepresented myself, and indeed the business. Gotta love the demon drink, right? Incidentally, the beer garden was limited to one table when I visited but that was nice enough on a dark winter’s night, and it had one of those outdoor electric heaters with a button that you could press to keep yourself warm. Much needed on that cold, bitter night

Went across to see a band that was on-The Still ,who are well worth a watch if you can get to see them locally. It was great to see a pub still putting on live music, and it seemed to be appreciated by the regulars. The staff were pleasant and quick to serve, there was a good atmosphere and they had a reasonable choice of drinks. The only fly in the ointment was the fact that they had a hand pump, but no cask ale, only John Smiths or Boddingtons(which I can't put into the category of a decent beer-no matter how hard I try. )Definitely missing a trick there, but other than that, a good night out.
