About This Pub
Oh, mate, let me tell you about the Arden Arms – it's one of those pubs that just hits the spot every time. From what I've gathered from the buzz around it, the food is top drawer; folks are raving about the Sunday roasts and those tasty chips that stick in your memory. The staff? They're an absolute delight, always up for a chat and bending over backwards to make your visit special, like sorting out extras when the menu's a bit short on options. It's got this cosy feel inside with pool and darts for a bit of fun, and if the weather's playing ball, the beer garden is brilliant, especially with play stuff for the kids and even events like dog shows that liven things up. They're dead welcoming to dogs too, which is ace if you're out for a walk. Now, it's not smack in the city centre, so if you're looking for a lively night out, you might find it a touch quiet, and the opening times can juggle around a bit, particularly on Sundays – but honestly, that's a small price for such a gem. Overall, with a solid 4.5 rating from heaps of happy visitors, it's a place I'd recommend for a relaxed catch-up or a family meal; you can't go wrong giving it a go.

Cons
-
The location's a bit out in the countryside, which might not suit if you're after something more central, though it's part of what makes it charming.
-
Operating hours can vary a tad, especially on Sundays, so it's worth double-checking to avoid any surprises.

Lovely food, props to the cook who made some very tasty food and kindly gave extra mozzarella sticks for us because they didn't have halloumi available, the nicest chips i have had in a long time quite honestly, environment here is super friendly and staff are very kind.

Best pub in the area, perfect after a walk down the river. Friendly welcome, good beers with 2 craft ales always on, cosy pub interior with pool and darts. Seating outside and welcome your dog with a water bowl and treats. Foods nice too.
Absolutely great pub kind of in the countryside. Lovely staff and lovely horses. Can't wait to try the new menu with the traditional Sunday lunch
Great little pub. Was nice to stop off on our walk around the river for food and drink. Sat in their lovely beer garden that had play equipment for children and a bouncy castle. Nice food and very friendly staff, Service was fantastic. They had a dog show on today also so the atmosphere was fab. Thank you😊
