About This Pub
Ah, The Crown—it's one of those pubs that just feels like a proper local spot, you know? From what I've gathered from the reviews, it's got this magnetic charm with a warm, friendly atmosphere where you can pop in for a pint and end up chatting away with the regulars. The staff sound spot-on, always up for a bit of banter and making sure everyone's looked after, and the food gets a thumbs-up for being tasty and fairly priced, especially if you're after something straightforward like a good pub lunch. That traditional decor with the beams and lights adds a nice touch of history, and if you're lucky, you might catch some live music for a bit of extra cheer. On the flip side, it's a shame there aren't more recent reviews to go on, as the last ones are from a while back, which makes me wonder if it's not quite as lively lately. Plus, with no website or proper online setup, it's not the easiest to plan a visit. All in all, if you're in the area and fancy a relaxed spot for a drink and a meal, I'd say give it a go—it's got that genuine pub spirit, but just keep in mind it might need a bit of a refresh in the digital department to keep up with the times.

They've got good food at reasonable prices, with options that hit the spot for a traditional pub meal.
-

-
Live music and a lively vibe make for some brilliant afternoons or evenings out.
Cons
-
There haven't been many recent reviews, so it might not be buzzing as much as it used to be.
-
The online presence is a bit lacking—no website or claimed profile—which makes it trickier to check out details beforehand.
-
The operating status seems a tad unclear, with some mixed-up hours listed, so it's worth double-checking before heading over.
-
While the ratings are solid, there aren't loads of recent ones, which might mean things have quietened down a bit.

Came here with my mates who drink alcohol. They had a great time and enjoyed the alcoholic drinks available. First time visiting and I love the beams on the ceiling which gave it an old authentic pub feel. It was a very nice, cosy and lively atmosphere in there. People very having a laugh and enjoying themselves.
I had a regular soft drink and a lovely serving of chips which were really crispy and well cooked. Lots of delicious meals on the menu.
Staff were friendly and accommodating.
Would return her again.
Amazing afternoon with live music and friendly and welcoming atmosphere ( Thank you Linda, Bar & Kitchen staff :) ) and reasonable prices and good food!!!
I'll definitely be back.
Thank you for an amazing afternoon
A space for 5 streams, very good food and very attentive people.
we like it a lot and we will definitely return.
Lovely English pub and restaurant with traditional black wood beam ceiling features and a bar decorated with lights (see picture). I just popped in as I was passing on a Monday afternoon. I really liked it. Google maps has (or had) this place noted as permanently closed. It is, however, most definitely open.
