About This Pub
You know, when I think about The Cock & Hen, it just brings a smile to my face – it's one of those pubs that feels like a proper local hideaway in Belfast, even if you're just passing through. From what folks are saying, the inside is a real treat with stunning stained glass windows that light up on a sunny day, creating this cosy, inviting space where you can relax and chat away. The drinks are spot on, with a good variety that's easy on the wallet, and the staff really make an effort to get you involved, whether it's recommending a brew or joining in the banter. It's got that authentic community spirit that makes every visit feel special, like you're part of the gang from the get-go. On the flip side, the outside does look a bit worn, so it might not catch your eye straight away, and if you're after somewhere with all the latest gadgets or a polished vibe, this one's more about traditional charm than anything fancy. All in all, it's a solid spot for a laid-back evening – I'd say give it a go if you're in the area, as it's those little personal touches that make it stand out for a good night out.

Being a traditional spot, it might not suit those after something more modern or flashy, as it's all about that classic pub charm.

Ignore the slighty shabby exterior, the stained glass windows inside on a sunny day are stunning and it’s a nicely laid out pub inside. It has a great community feel, chatted to some locals at the bar, they even had my favourite cider and had a very welcoming atmosphere. Would definitely come back again.
We just love this honest wholesome bar. The punters are welcoming and a good sort. The drink is always tasty and flowing while not damaging your pocket. Juke box on point and the atmosphere is generally what keeps you there for just one more, or two.
An American and a Finnish guy walk into this pub after a long struggle on a cruise ship drydock. This pub was exactly what we needed. An extremely engaging bartender, fun locals to chat with. Good beers and spirits. Wish my local back home was half as entertaining as this place.
We stumbled across this lovely little gem of a place whilst we were over on a hen do, we got such a lovely warm welcome and had such a laugh with the staff and locals, we even went back there after going in to the city as we had a better time there. Will be returning very soon and would highly recommend for a great atmosphere
Traditional pub. A late night visit. Sat at the bar with the few locals in there. Could not have been made to feel more welcome. Back in Belfast next year. Going to call in again for a few more pints.
