About This Pub
Ah, The Clifton Arms, what a lovely spot it is in Blackburn – I've got to say, from what I've seen in the reviews, it's one of those pubs that just warms your heart. The staff are top-notch, always greeting you with a smile and making sure everyone feels included, which is just what you want after a long day. The live entertainment and karaoke nights sound like a real treat, adding that extra spark to the evenings and drawing in a cheerful bunch of regulars. Plus, it's great to hear about the community efforts, like the landlady's charity work and fun events; it really gives the place a homely feel. On the downside, though, it's a shame there's no website to easily check what's happening or get more details, and being a smaller venue, it might not offer a wide range of drinks or meals, so it could feel a bit limited if you're in the mood for variety. All in all, if you're looking for an affordable, down-to-earth pub where you can unwind and maybe even join in a singalong, I'd give it a go – it's got that genuine charm that makes you want to come back for more.
Pros and Cons
Pros
-
The staff at The Clifton Arms are absolutely brilliant – they're so welcoming and make you feel right at home from the moment you walk in.
-
It's got a cracking atmosphere with live entertainment and karaoke most weekends, which really livens things up and keeps the evenings buzzing.
-
The pub's got a strong community vibe, with the landlady doing loads for charity and hosting fun events like raffles, making it a proper local gem.
-
Prices are spot on for a good night out – it's inexpensive, so you can enjoy a pint or a bite without breaking the bank.
Cons
-
There's no website or much of an online presence, which means it can be a bit of a faff to check opening times or what's on before you head over.
-
As a smaller local spot, it might not have a massive selection of beers or food options, so if you're after something fancy, you might need to look elsewhere.
