About This Pub

Ah, the Premier Inn in Blackburn town centre – it's one of those places that feels like a reliable old mate when you're travelling. From what folks are saying, it's brilliantly positioned for exploring, with everything from shops to transport just a short stroll away, which is just what you want after a day out. The rooms are tidy and cosy, with those super-comfy beds and some cracking views that give you a nice sense of the area. Throw in free parking and a team of staff who's always cheerful and ready to lend a hand, and you've got a solid base for your trip. Breakfast is a highlight too, packed with choices to set you up nicely. But, let's be honest, it's not all smooth sailing – there have been a few moans about breakfast finishing early now and then, or finding the odd maintenance issue like a dodgy bath. Wi-Fi can play up, and some basics like getting towels swapped might need a nudge. Still, with that high rating, it's clear the good bits outweigh the bad, and I'd say it's worth a go if you're after a straightforward, friendly spot to rest your head in Blackburn.

Pros and Cons

Pros
  • The location is absolutely spot on, right in the heart of Blackburn town centre, making it dead easy to nip to the shops, railway, or buses.
  • Free parking right opposite is a real treat – saves a bundle and adds to the convenience.
  • Rooms are generally clean, spacious, and comfortable, with some offering lovely views that make you feel right at home.
  • Staff are wonderfully friendly and always up for helping out, which really makes the stay more enjoyable.
  • Breakfast is plentiful with plenty of options, and it's a great way to start the day without any fuss.
Cons
  • Breakfast can sometimes wrap up a bit early, like on bank holidays, which might leave you missing out if you're not quick off the mark.
  • A few rooms have had issues with things like mouldy baths or rusty fixtures, which isn't ideal for a relaxing stay.
  • Towels don't always get changed as asked, and there's no fridge to keep drinks cool, which can be a bit of a nuisance.
  • Wi-Fi can be patchy in places, making it tricky if you need to stay connected.
  • Room service isn't assumed, so you might have to chase it up, which feels a tad overlooked.

Quick trip to see poorly relative in near by liverpool area This was really cheap as it was bank holiday weekend and the liverpool parade the Monday. Only criticism - the closed the brekkie 30 mins early as it was a bank Holiday and staff seemed to forget. Mum missed brekkie but not a big issue. I did see another family come down about 10:35 & staf went out of their way to get a continental breakfast sorted for them.

Great location close to all amenities in the centre. Free parking is a plus and noise free when we stayed. Need to let them know that you need a room service rather than general assumption that it will get done. Also the bath was mouldy and rusty.

Great shower, comfortable bed, clean and on the rare occasions when you see staff they are friendly. However towels not changed as requested and agreed, nowhere to keep drinks cool and poor wifi. Great location near the excellent Thira restaurant.

Great location close to railway and bus stations. Close to shopping centre. The staff here are absolutely wonderful... nothing is too much trouble. Breakfast in the morning is plentiful with lots of options. We had a lovely room with a view of the cathedral.
