About This Pub

You know, when I think about the Ivy Hotel in Blackburn, it just brings a smile to my face—it's one of those pubs that feels like a proper local hideaway, where you can pop in for a drink and end up staying for hours. The staff are brilliant, always up for a laugh and making sure everyone feels welcome, which really sets the tone for a great night. Whether it's grabbing a pint after the footy or joining in on karaoke, there's a real buzz about the place that keeps things lively. And it's ace that it's family-friendly too, with a playground right nearby, so you don't have to worry about bringing the little ones along. That open fire on a nippy evening is just the cherry on top, making it feel all cosy and inviting. On the flip side, I've heard some whispers that it might not be around for much longer, which is a bit gutting as it seems like a community staple. Plus, with no website or online updates, it's not the easiest to keep tabs on what's going on. All in all, if you're nearby, I'd say give it a go for that authentic pub charm—it's got heaps of heart, but just be prepared for the possibility it could change soon.

Friendly landlord and landlady, made me feel ever so welcome, great atmosphere, and even a nice open fire roaring away to take the chill off. One of the best out of town pubs I've been to.
