About This Pub

Ah, the Bulls Head Hotel – it's one of those pubs that just feels like a proper local in Sale, you know? From what I've gathered from folks' chats online, it's got this brilliant mix of cheap beers and cracking offers that make it a go-to for a casual night out without breaking the bank. The atmosphere is spot on, with friendly staff who go the extra mile – like helping out in a tricky situation or just making you feel welcome for a quick Guinness. Live sports are a big hit, whether it's football or rugby, and events like karaoke add a fun twist to evenings. On the flip side, though, the opening times can be a bit of a letdown, especially if you're aiming for an early start on Sundays for those Manchester United matches; it might leave you hanging if you're not planning ahead. Overall, it's a solid choice for a relaxed pint with mates, but keeping an eye on those hours will make for a smoother visit.

Pros and Cons

Pros
  • Fantastic value for money with cheap beers and excellent drink offers that make it easy on the wallet.
  • A really welcoming and friendly atmosphere where the staff and regulars make you feel right at home, especially during events like karaoke nights.
  • Great selection of drinks and live sports screenings for football, rugby, and more, perfect for catching the big games.
  • A safe and trouble-free spot with a strong community feel, where kind gestures from the team can turn a bad day around.
  • Plenty of snacks nearby and a cosy vibe that encourages popping in for a quick pint or a longer catch-up.
Cons
  • Opening times can be a tad late, especially on Sundays, which might mean missing out on a pre-game pint for early kick-offs.
  • The pub's hours seem a bit inconsistent from what's listed, so it's worth double-checking to avoid any surprises.

It was a great karaoke night. Good drinks selection, not full of idiots.

Great place to go before Watching Manchester United games. Cheap beer, friendly atmosphere. Would be great if the could open a little earlier for a Sunday 2pm kick off. Loads of snacks and a burger bar just around the corner. If you leave one hour before kick off it will give you time to park up and walk to the ground.

Been coming in here on and off 2 years, not a big drinker. Good bar, no trouble, beers are good and excellent prices. My dad comes over from Ireland once or twice a year, and he always wants to have a jar here .

So I'm giving this review because of the landlord and his wife. My son had a meltdown on the main road. I had to sit on the floor with him to keep him safe (he's non verbal and autistic. This is also rare too). Anyway they xould hear him at the pub and the landlord and his wife was concerned. She came out and kept us company. She also took the edge off too. I know we didn't go in for drinks but if the landlord and his wife are like this it tells me how welcoming their pub is. Thank you so much ♥️
