About This Pub

Ah, Petisco – it's one of those hidden gems in Sale that really captures the essence of casual Portuguese dining. From what I've gathered from the buzz around it, the food is a real standout; think fresh, shareable small plates made with the best local ingredients, which folks rave about for their authentic flavours and that welcoming twist on traditional tapas. The service seems genuinely warm and attentive, with stories of staff going the extra mile for things like dietary allergies, making it feel personal and caring. Pair that with a chilled-out atmosphere that's just right for lingering over a glass of Portuguese wine or a cold beer, and you've got a spot that's spot on for date nights or group gatherings. On the flip side, it's worth noting that it's not open every day, so you'll need to check the times to avoid disappointment, and while the quality justifies the cost, it might stretch the budget a bit for everyday visits. All in all, if you're after something a touch different from the usual pub grub, Petisco is definitely worth seeking out – it's got that feel-good factor that keeps people coming back for more.

  • With a focus on high-quality, locally sourced ingredients, it could feel a tad pricey for a casual night out.

First time for us and it was excellent. Service was second to none with a lot of care put into catering to an allergy. All food delicious and fresh, and a welcome Portuguese change from the usual Spanish tapas restaurants we go to.
