About This Pub
Oh, let me tell you about Bean & Brush Art Cafe – it's this lovely spot tucked away in Stanley Square, Sale, that's just perfect for anyone wanting to get a bit creative while enjoying some good grub and drinks. I love how they've blended pottery painting with a cafe vibe, offering everything from mugs and plates to fancy vases, all starting at a reasonable £9.50, and the team there are absolute stars, guiding you through with smiles and plenty of ideas to make your piece unique. The food's a real highlight too; think fresh, locally sourced breakfasts, lunches, and those homemade cakes that pair brilliantly with a barista coffee or even a milkshake. Those evening 'Bean by Night' sessions are a treat, especially if you're up for painting with a BYO tipple and sharing some nachos with pals – it's affordable and such a fun midweek option. But, on the downside, it does fill up quickly, so booking's essential to dodge the crowds, and if you're hoping for a serene evening, the occasional chatter and excitement from families might throw you off a bit. All in all, it's a welcoming place that strikes a great balance between creativity and relaxation, and I'd say it's well worth a visit for a memorable outing.
Pros and Cons
Pros
-
The staff are incredibly friendly and always on hand with helpful tips, making the whole experience feel welcoming and fun.
-
There's a fantastic selection of pottery pieces and colours to choose from, so you can really let your creativity shine without breaking the bank.
-
Prices are spot on, starting from just £9.50, and they've got delicious food like fresh breakfasts, lunches, homemade cakes, and barista drinks to keep you going.
-
The evening sessions are a brilliant idea, with BYOB and tasty options like loaded nachos, perfect for a relaxed night out with friends or a unique date.
-
The atmosphere is lively and inclusive, suitable for all ages, and it's great to see how they cater for everything from family days to grown-up gatherings.
Cons
-
It can get really busy, especially on weekends and during school holidays, so you'll need to book ahead to avoid missing out.
-
Sometimes the noise from families and excited little ones might disrupt a quieter evening, which isn't ideal if you're after a more peaceful vibe.
-
From what I've gathered, there might be a few minor niggles like potential time constraints during sessions, though it's not a deal-breaker overall.

Came here for an evening session and had the best time. The staff were friendly and informative. We were shocked by the huge range of pottery to pick from and also the colours. It was BYOB but they had a cheap soft drink menu and small evening food menu including nachos. Only downside is that we all struggled to find the café but none of us are from Sale tbf!
Had a great time pottery painting, there are loads of different dishes/pottery to choose from and so many colours to choose from too. The pottery was reasonably priced and the atmosphere was great, we never felt rushed and the staff were very friendly and happy to help. I would recommend this to anyone looking for a wholesome activity that’s a bit different from the usual!! Also we only had to wait a week before we could collect the fired and glazed finished product which was great!
Had a great time at the ‘after dark’ session - loved bringing our own bottle for drinks and made some very cool art with friends. Would make a lovely date night too.
Amazing place for a date is you dint mind hearing the odd child scream. Was a lovely time spending my wife Birthday here , she staff was fantastic and helped with differnt ways to paint and use the tools they have. The food was way better then what you expect for a cafe and I highly recommend going here! Only thing to consider is you get about 2 hours for your table booking so be awere of your time.
Loved it here! The food is lovely and the children's meal was a big hit with my little girl.
We visited twice in the week do we managed to take a few photos. Pre book if you can because it does get very busy, especially in the school holidays and the weekends.
We got to choose our little piece of pottery (prices are all on the bottom of the pots), different prices, all depending on size, etc.
We then decided what paints we wanted, and then we had 2 hours for our booking to complete our little masterpiece!
Once you have finished, you hand it over to the staff, and they give you a slip with an order number on, and then you collect it a week later once its been in the kiln.
It is a lovely little treat, and it's not just for kids either. Many adults/couples were enjoying this too. I'd definitely go back.
The staff were all lovely and very helpful too. 😀
