About This Pub

You know, I've popped into The Bull's Head a few times, and it's just that reliable sort of pub you can count on for a good time without spending a fortune. The prices are spot on – think pints for around £2.63 and meals that won't break the bank – which makes it perfect for a casual evening with friends. I love the big beer garden; it's ace on a sunny day, though you might want to steer clear of the wobbly tables to avoid any mishaps. The staff are generally lovely, with folks like Shane and Katie going the extra mile to make you feel at home, but sometimes they can be a bit reserved, which is a shame if you're in the mood for a chat. Food-wise, it's mostly solid; the breakfasts are a real winner with that chargrilled bacon and perfectly toasted bread, but things like the burgers could use a bit more punch to make them stand out. All in all, it's a solid choice if you're after an affordable, straightforward pub experience in Manchester – the good bits far outweigh the niggles, and it's one I'd recommend for a laid-back pint or meal.

Just your standard Wetherspoons. On a hot day, the indoor seating was kept quite cool and the beer garden is quite big, a lot of wobbly tables though. Drinks and food are at a very good standard, staff were quiet but all in all, a decent experience. You get what you pay for.
Went for a breakfast with the grandchildren, was very happy with the food, toast done to perfection, bacon had a chargrilled taste which I loved. The only let down was I like really runny eggs for my toast and beans. But not a dealbraker. The open fire was a bonus along with quite good coffee, being a breakfast coffee, it didn't give you that kick to wake your brain up, more like a brunch coffee.
Fantastic pub and great bar staff! Shane and Katie were fantastic, even got a shamrock on my Guinness! £2.63 a pint, I think I died and went to witherspoon heaven!
This was my 399th different wetherspoons visited.
I had American burger with cheese and chips. A side of roasted vegetables, and a very good Hobgoblin Gold ale for just over £8, bargain.
I can imagine it's popular here during the weekend and the warmer months due to the large beer garden.
Food came fairly quick and tasted nice. The burger could do with a spruce up. It was quite plain. But other than that was ok.
Drinks are nice and a good price. Food is also fairly price and can get an alcoholic drink with your meal for an extra £1-£2.
Place is massive! And I love the ladies toilets! Sooooo spacious and clean. Even has seating area in the toilets! I didn't take my phone to toilets so didn't get a picture, and I wasn't walking back up the mountain of stairs to take pictures! 😂.
I'd definitely visit again.
