About This Pub
Ah, The Bull, what a gem in the heart of Birmingham! From what I've gathered from the buzz around it, this place really nails that cosy pub vibe, with folks raving about the warm welcomes and a cracking array of drinks that cater to all tastes, whether you're after a refreshing cider or something non-alcoholic. The food sounds absolutely mouth-watering too – I mean, who could resist fish and chips or those loaded fries? And let's not forget Ellie, the pub cat; she's a proper charmer and adds that extra layer of homeliness that makes you want to linger. It's got that historic feel, being one of the oldest in the area, and it's conveniently placed for a quick pint after exploring the city. On the flip side, though, there have been a couple of grumbles about the occasional grumpy bar staff, which can sour the experience a tad, and some minor niggles like a room leak that popped up, but kudos to the team for jumping on it straight away. Overall, it's a solid spot for a relaxed get-together – I'd say it's worth a visit if you're after good value and a bit of character, just keep an eye out for those off moments to make the most of it.

Loved this pub. Friendly and good selection of drinks including alcohol free. Nice cider on tap! Oh and the pub cat!!
2nd time here with the other half.
Good range available on tap or behind the bar in bottles/ cans.
Food wise I can recommend the fish and chips, chili loaded fries, onion rings and duck spring rolls.
The cat is a lovely addition to a good pub experience. My other half is cat mad and the cat makes it feel homely.
There is a small beer garden / smoking area, several large tables that would be good for group.
Inside there are 3/4 main areas with the bar in the middle. Two long tables that would be good for large froups. Takes card and cash. Friendly staff and parking in street or in the carpark next to it.
Stayed here a few times, rooms are adequate and you'll have a good night's sleep. Lovely pub, and the food is great. Lovely to see Ellie the pub cat. Not evicted, unlike the unfortunate cats at the Welly. Loses marks because of the very rude woman behind the bar. Impatient, indifferent, all the things you shouldn't be when you're dealing with customers.
Very good pub about fifteen minutes walk from Birmingham New Street Station. Five cask beers on handpump when I visited including a mild. A few benches outside at the front and a small garden to the rear.
This backstreet local is one of the oldest pubs in Birmingham. It has two distinct drinking areas surrounding a U-shaped bar with a smaller back room for more privacy. A collection of 300 jugs adorns the ceiling, along with a number of old pictures and memorabilia. Eleven en-suite letting bedrooms are available.

Lovely hotel/pub. I stayed for 2 nights for an event. I was on crutches, someone helped me get my bag up to my room, had a slight issued with a leak from the ceiling of my room, staff dealt with it quickly and moved me to another room. Very happy with the service. Thank you.
