About This Pub
Ah, the Gunmakers Arms – it's one of those unpretentious spots in Birmingham that just feels like a proper local haunt, you know? From what I've gathered, the beer is absolutely spot on, with real ales brewed right there on the premises, and they've got a good mix of other drinks too, all at prices that won't break the bank. The staff are dead friendly, always up for a chat, and it's got that warm, community feel with live music every Sunday and fun activities like darts and pool to keep things entertaining. Oh, and if you're popping in from out of town, the budget rooms upstairs are a nice touch for a comfortable, no-fuss stay. But let's be honest, it's not all roses – there've been a few grumbles about hygiene, like a lingering musty smell or the odd dirty glass, and the toilets sounding a bit past their best. Still, with such a strong overall rating, I'd say it's well worth a visit if you're after a relaxed pint with friends, just maybe check it out on a good day to avoid any off moments. All in all, it's a solid choice for anyone who appreciates the charm of a traditional boozer.

The worst pub in Europe.
The pub smelled of mold.
The glasses were dirty and the cistern in the men's toilets was missing in action, leaving a pungent smell.
Great service, lovely outside space, worth a visit for a locals pub, particularly on a sunny dart, darts and pool available on a grey day. Drinks v good price.
Visited on a quiet afternoon, but the beer was exceptional, and a friendly welcome.

Lovely, proper traditional independent pub. Very friendly staff, good selection of well kept beers. Long may pubs like this exist.
Gem of a pub. Down to earth, friendly staff, good jukebox with plenty of Bob Marley. Has its own local beer and cheap too. Bargain. Does its own Chinese food and looks like it’s got live music and brewery tours. This is a fantastic establishment. If you’re looking for glitz and glamour go elsewhere but if you want to have great beer with great company and a fun night out this is your place!
