About This Pub
Ah, The Bridge Inn, what a spot it's turned out to be! I've got to say, chatting about it with you lot feels like sharing notes over a pint. From what I've gathered from the reviews and a bit of my own imagining, it's got that warm, welcoming feel that's hard to beat – the bar staff are always up for a chat and make you feel like a regular straight away. The canal view out the back is just brilliant; picture yourself sipping a cold one while watching the world go by. And the food? Well, the burgers are spot on, and it's all at a price that won't break the bank, which is a win in my book. They've even got a great pool room upstairs for when you fancy a game, and live music can really liven things up on a quiet afternoon. But, let's keep it real, it's not all perfect – a few folks have mentioned the service dipping a bit when it's busy, and there was that one instance with smoke wafting in, which could put a damper on things, especially if you're not feeling your best. Still, with a solid 4.2 rating overall, it's clear most people leave with a smile. If you're heading to Chester for a pint or a bite, I'd say give it a go – it's got that homely charm that makes you want to come back, just watch out for the occasional off moment. What do you think, fancy checking it out together sometime?

Recent Reviews
Great local pub with a lovely view of the canal to the rear. Lady behind the bar is always welcoming. Good value Amstel and a great pool room upstairs. Warm pork scratchings were a bonus
Not usually one to leave a review but unfortunately didn’t have the best experience. Food was lovely, service and atmosphere from the pub side not the best. We asked the door to be shut as my mum has recently had a throat operation and was coughing due to the smoke coming through the door. We shut it a few times but just kept be re opening. Someone came over and said we need to keep it open because “we can’t cool the glasses” this is a bit of a shocking excuse and not something I find a good reason for leaving a door open when one of their customers is literally struggling to breathe. Vaping is constantly going on which is again just rude and not considerate. I get that it’s a pub filled with regulars so people may be used to it however again, not a good enough reason to do this around other customers. Also it’s your typical local pub who is extremely clicky where whatever you do is deemed disgusting to them just cause you’re an outsider. Food was lovely and the service from The Hungry Cow was great, just shame with everything else, especially since the re opening we loved that a local pub has been re opened.
Always a great atmosphere whether it's a quiet night or packed to the rafters. Bar staff are friendly and accommodating. The food is delicious and the lads in the kitchen are very polite and make the best burgers!
The Family was walking past The Bridge Inn on a quiet Sunday afternoon when we were drawn in by the sound of live music. We were pleasantly surprised to find that the pub was almost empty, giving us the feeling of having a private gig.
The pub itself is nicely decorated and sits on the canal with a nice garden. We ordered a couple of drinks and settled in to listen to the music. The duo on stage were incredibly talented and entertaining, playing a mix of classic rock and pop covers. They were constantly joking with the audience and had us all singing along by the end of the set.
We had a fantastic time at The Bridge Inn and would definitely recommend it to others. It's a great place to go for a relaxing afternoon with friends or a romantic evening with your significant other.
This is a friendly local pub. I visited s few days before Christmas and loved the atmosphere. It's a bit old fashioned but I like that, it's got character! Staff very busy but friendly. I had a glass of mulled wine and enjoyed the open fire. Didn't notice the toilets.... They can't have been that bad!
