About This Pub
Ah, The Bridge Bier Huis – what a gem it is for us who appreciate a good pint! From what I've gathered from the buzz around it, this place really shines with its incredible array of beers, from classic English ales to those hard-to-find European brews. I love how affordable it is, especially grabbing a cask beer at lunchtime; it's like they know just how to keep things accessible without skimping on quality. The staff come across as genuinely welcoming, and the atmosphere has that cosy, community feel that's perfect for a relaxed afternoon or catching up with mates after a match at Turf Moor. On the flip side, though, it does tend to get a bit packed and rowdy on weekends, so if you're hoping for a peaceful evening, you might want to time your visit carefully. Also, with it only open five days a week, it's worth checking the schedule to avoid disappointment. All in all, it's a solid choice for a proper pub experience – the high ratings speak for themselves, and I'd say it's well worth a try if you're in the area.
Pros and Cons
Pros

The beer selection is absolutely brilliant – they've got a fantastic range of European and English ales, including some rare Porters that you won't find easily elsewhere in Burnley.

Prices are a real treat, especially for cask beers at lunchtime; it's unbelievably affordable, making it a great spot for a casual pint without breaking the bank.
-
The atmosphere is warm and welcoming, with friendly staff and regulars who make you feel right at home, plus it's a handy spot for football fans near Turf Moor.
-
It's got that proper pub feel with a good variety of beers on tap, and the overall vibe is lively without being overwhelming most of the time.
Cons
-
It can get pretty busy and noisy on weekends, which might make it a bit too hectic if you're after a quiet chat over your drink.
-
The opening hours seem a tad limited, with only five days a week, so you might have to plan around that if you're keen to pop in.
-

Lunchtime prices for cask beers is unbelievably cheap
The Bridge Bier Huis is an iconic place in Burnley! I'm a beer lover, and I enjoy going there because of all the beer options they have. You'll be able to find beers from all over Europe as well as some good English ales.
I prefer Porter's, and it's one of the only places in Burnley I can find them.
I never had food here, so I can't comment on it.
It's the best start for a good night out in Burnley.
The price I've put is for drinks.
Very good pub if you're a fan of 'proper' beer. Very good selection of Belgian beers that aren't at completely eye-watering prices. Atmosphere is good and staff are friendly. It does get busy and loud at weekends though ... I can't, in good conscience, knock a star off for that though just because it not 'my' thing.
Very good Burnley pub. Five cask beers - and one cider - on handpump when I last visited including a mild. Not too busy after the Spurs game at Turf Moor.
