About This Pub
Ah, The Brickyard in Hitchin – it's one of those pubs that just hits the spot for a laid-back evening. From the reviews I've had a look at, everyone seems chuffed with the friendly vibes; it's that kind of place where the staff go out of their way to make you feel welcome, and the selection of gins is brilliant if you're in the mood for something a bit fancy. The food gets top marks too, with mentions of lovely meals and perfectly poured pints, all at a moderate price that won't break the bank. It's got a nice, understated interior that's bigger than it looks from the street, which is ideal for settling in with mates for a chat. On the downside, the opening times are a tad unclear, so you might end up scratching your head trying to figure out when it's actually open, and without a website, it's not the easiest to get the lowdown online. Still, with an overall rating of 4.2, it's clear this spot does a lot right, and I'd say it's well worth giving it a go if you're in the area – just keep those potential hiccups in mind for a smoother visit.

First time visiting, really friendly pub. Bigger than it looks from the front.
Lovely food and great pint and service
Nice place and interior, good selection of gin. Love it!
I went out Friday night with my mate and before we left the location we had been at most of the night we 'google' searched other venues close by, and found the Brickyard!
Being pretty close by we walked round to check it out! How we didn't find this place first off was a real shame! Venue is petite, but has additional seating out the front.
Not sure if it has a backyard area as didn't venture.
The whole vibe of the place was awesome! Drinks way more affordable and reasonable than the last place we had been! Lovely interior design and the music was at a level where you could 'talk' and not have to scream at one another! Having bad tinnitus this was a real bonus!
Age range felt more in keeping with our ages.. mid 30s up.... And tbh by the time we arrived gone a little after 11pm it wasnt packed out and we had plenty of room to sit.
Definitely would be a go to place for me again. If you fancy a nice fairly Q drink with some decent background tunes and affordable drinks.. stop here.
It's ashame I only managed one picture but I loved the lighting alcove!
We didn't have food - I didn't realize it even did food but gone 11 it's not something we would have even thought about!
There is no parking for this venue as it's right on the main high street road opposite chicken George.
What a fab bar for gin lovers.. totally cool and reasonable value … loved it x
