About This Pub

Ah, The Borough Arms – it's one of those local spots that just feels like a hidden gem in Morley, Leeds, where you can kick back and enjoy a pint without all the fuss. From what I've gathered from the reviews, the place has this warm, welcoming energy that makes you feel right at home, especially with the staff being so approachable and the DJ spinning tunes that get everyone involved – I mean, who doesn't love a pub that plays your requests? The prices on drinks are spot on too, making it an easy choice for a casual get-together with mates. They've spruced up the decor recently, and events like karaoke nights add a real buzz, turning an ordinary evening into something memorable. On the downside, there was that one review where someone had a right nightmare with their belongings getting tossed out by mistake, which is a bit of a worry and shows room for improvement on the service front. Plus, it can be quiet some nights, so if you're in the mood for a packed house, you might find it a smidge underwhelming. All things considered, with a solid rating like that, it's worth a visit for a relaxed night – just keep an eye on your things and go in with the right expectations for a good, honest pub experience.

Pros and Cons

Pros
  • The staff and atmosphere are so welcoming; it's like popping round to a mate's for a chat and a pint.
  • They've got a brilliant DJ who plays all sorts of tunes and even takes requests, making every visit feel personal and fun.
  • Drinks are priced just right, so you can enjoy a proper night out without worrying about the wallet.
  • There's a great lineup of events like karaoke and psychic nights that really add some sparkle to the evenings.
Cons
  • There was a disappointing incident where belongings were mishandled by staff, which could put a damper on things if you're not careful with your stuff.
  • It can be a bit quiet at times, especially on certain nights, so it might not always have that lively crowd you're after.
  • With only a handful of reviews, it doesn't seem to be buzzing with activity just yet, which might make it feel a tad under the radar.

Common curtesy lacking by staff thinks its ok to throw your bag with you phone, bank cards, credit card, driving licence, bus pass, house keys, inhalers that you left there out with the trash instead of leaving it behind the bar for when I come looking for it. Any
