About This Pub
Ah, The Bird In Hand – it's one of those cosy pubs in Coventry that really warms the cockles of your heart with its down-to-earth charm. From the reviews, it sounds like the folks there go out of their way to make everyone feel welcome, which is spot on if you're looking for a place to unwind after a rough week or catch the latest match on the telly. I love how they've got all the classics sorted, like pool tables, darts, and even karaoke nights that get the crowd going – it's just the ticket for a laid-back evening with mates. Plus, being inexpensive, you can pop in for a quick Guinness without emptying your wallet. On the flip side, it's a bit unclear on the food front; someone mentioned they weren't even sure if it's available, so if you're peckish, you might want to grab a bite elsewhere first. And without a website, it's not the easiest to keep up with what's on, which is a small niggle in this digital age. All in all, it's a solid pick for anyone after that genuine pub experience, but it might not wow you if you're seeking something more polished.

It has that classic old-fashioned pub feel, which might not appeal if you're after something more modern or trendy.

Started using this pub whilst going through some difficult times, the people make you feel welcome and ability to play pool and darts makes is an added bonus will always be my local for sport.
Happy and friendly pub, very supportive - especially for the last three months after losing my wife.
Saturday disco and karaoke
Would recommend a Guinness
Having been patrons of this pub for decades, my family and I consistently enjoy the fantastic food, impeccable service, and refreshing drinks. While my loyalty may make me biased, I genuinely believe this pub stands out among others in Coventry. Highly recommended.
Just dropped in for one drink, just because we could.
Good old fashioned feeling pub with friendly locals, and that’s saying something as I’m from Sunderland and you never know how you might be receiving. It was topped off by watching on the large screen tv the end of the Sunderland v Southampton game where we won 5-0 so all in all an enjoyable visit. We didn’t have any food so cannot comment on this.
Great atmosphere in pub, brilliant facilities great pool table loads of television. lovely garden long and cosy. The reason why I haven't put any stars in food is that I haven't had any I'm not sure if they do food. Lovely pub all together would recommend a visit
