About This Pub
Ah, let me tell you about The BellyRub – it's one of those hidden gems in Scarborough that really hits the spot if you're after a cosy night out with great grub and a pint or two. From what I've gathered from folks' experiences, the food is spot on; those loaded fries, like the sweet and sour pork belly or cheeseburger ones, are just the thing to tuck into alongside their cracking selection of craft beers. The atmosphere is dead relaxed and super dog-friendly, which is lovely if you're out with your furry mate, and the staff are an absolute delight – always up for a chat and making everyone feel welcome, even throwing in a treat for the pups. They've got events like Thursday night quizzes that add a fun twist, making it feel like a proper community hub. On the downside, though, it's only open mid-week onwards, so you might find yourself out of luck if you're visiting on a quiet Sunday. Plus, it's a bit off the beaten track, and food's just in the evenings, which could cramp your plans if you're after something more flexible. All in all, it's a brilliant little spot that does craft beer and comfort eats proud, but it's worth checking the hours first to avoid any disappointment – definitely one to seek out if you're in the area!

The ever-changing selection of craft beers is brilliant, offering a great mix on draught and in bottles, ideal for anyone keen on exploring new brews.
Cons
-
It's only open from Wednesday to Saturday, so if you're planning a Sunday pint, you'll have to look elsewhere.
-
The location is a tad tucked away on Victoria Road, meaning you might need to make a bit of an effort to find it rather than stumbling upon it.
-
Food is only served in the evenings, which is a shame if you're after a quick bite earlier in the day or fancy something beyond just drinks.

Omg the cheeseburger fries were amaazing. The lady who was behind the bar was so friendly & welcoming, and brought my dog a treat which was such a nice touch. Really good food & a lovely comfortable atmosphere.
Great food served evenings from 5-8pm and a good choice of craft ales available (3 draught & the rest cans & bottles. Owners are extremely friendly & helpful. Visited twice & would have gone more but only open Wednesday to Saturday.
Delicious food and a lovely atmosphere. We had the Special which was Sweet and Sour pork belly loaded fries and would highly recommend! I also finished off with the homemade baileys Icecream 👌🏻👌🏻 Lynne and Steve who own the Belly Rub as also so lovely. Always have a good chat when we come in!
They are also super dog friendly and do a weekly quiz. All money goes to the dogs trust. 🥰
We love trying all different types of beers and the dirty fries are the perfect sides for all those craft beers there! Pork belly fries and cheeseburger fries are our favourite. We also love the halloumi fries. Very relaxed atmosphere and they are dog friendly.

Superb craft beer bar serving great food.
A little hidden, you'll probably not accidentally walk past it if you're around the more tourist orientated areas; however, it's worth making the effort to go.
Food is either loaded fries or wraps with various toppings and fillings, portion sizes are excellent and the food is clearly great quality.
Beer wise there's two craft beers on keg, the rest is bottled and canned, it's also outstanding, expect to find beers from North Riding, Azvex, Track, Polly's etc, genuine high quality craft beer not run of the mill faux stuff.
The place is dog friendly and the owners are great, really friendly and talkative, they clearly care about their business and deserve support.
We'll definitely be back.
