About This Pub
Ah, The Bell in Walthamstow – it's one of those pubs that really pulls you in with its friendly staff and that homely feel, like you're popping round to a mate's for a pint. I love how they've got this great mix of craft beers and cocktails, plus all those special deals that make it feel a bit more wallet-friendly, especially for events or watching the footie. The food's another winner; their pizzas and brunches are spot on, offering brilliant value and flavours that stick with you. And don't forget the spacious outdoor area – perfect for a sunny afternoon with a rum cocktail in hand. But, on the flip side, it's not all roses; the drink prices can sting a bit, and if you're after a good selection of cask ales, you might find it lacking these days. Plus, with all the screens and pumping music, it can turn into a bit of a racket, making it tough to have a proper natter. Overall, it's a solid choice for a fun night out or a group gathering, but I'd say it's best if you're up for the buzz rather than a quiet drink – just keep those expectations in check for a balanced experience.

Cons
-
The drink prices can feel a bit steep, which might put a damper on the fun if you're planning a long night out.

-
It can get a bit overwhelming with screens everywhere and loud music, making it hard to have a proper chat with mates.
-
Some of the promotions, like the 2-4-1 deals, don't always live up to expectations, which feels a tad misleading.
-
The pub seems to have lost some of its charm over time, with a few folks noting it's not quite as welcoming as it used to be.

Used to be a great pub but it seems to have deteriorated in recent years. My main issue is the lack of cask ale, there used to be a good selection but I went in yesterday and they only had London Pride - thoroughly unimpressive. Drink prices seem very high too.
A short walk from Walthamstow Station this pub has a great vibe inside and large outdoor area. Beer & cocktail menu is varied with many decent selections and special deals every day. But the pizza we had was absolutely phenomenal. Excellent pub vibe, close to Walthamstow Soho Theater, movies & market makes this a fine place to hang with a group or solo (friendly locals too) and there is regular scheduled entertainment as well as live sport action on the multiple screens inside. Speakers and art in the garden outdoor make this a fun spot. That pizza tho, remarkably proper!
If you're looking for a welcoming spot in Walthamstow, The Bell Pub is worth a visit! The staff here are incredibly friendly, always going the extra mile to ensure you feel at home. The service is top-notch, and a great sense of local hospitality makes the place feel like a true community hub.
For beer lovers, you'll find a solid selection of local brews on tap, perfect for sipping while enjoying the laid-back atmosphere. The food here is just as impressive—if you're craving something indulgent, don't miss the melted burgers or the melty pepperoni pizza. Both dishes are packed with flavour and, as the name suggests, perfectly melty!
Whether popping in for a pint or staying for a full meal, The Bell is an excellent choice for a casual, fun dining experience in Walthamstow.
This place used to be a real social pub, but now you only see screens everywhere and loud music, completely ruining conversations. Unfortunately, there is a case of false marketing. They have a 2-4-1 offer where you would think you'd get two drinks for the price of one, right? Oh well, no, not really... You'll get to save £0.40 when you buy two drinks 😄 just a note to the management to look into this as it's very misleading. Staff was understanding, hence the two stars.
Dean is absolutely amazing!! We loved him. The brunch was fabulous, wonderful food, lovely booze and such wicked value for the brunch. We cannot wait to come back again. 4 of us came out and we loved it so so much. Roll on next time. Dean is an asset to The Bell. This brunch is fabulous for the time we get and Dean kept the booze coming which was amazing xx
