About This Pub

Ah, The Beekeeper – it's one of those pubs in Beeston that you might stumble upon for a relaxed afternoon or evening, and honestly, it has this warm, inviting feel that's just right for catching up with mates or treating the family. I love how the staff are so friendly and attentive; from what I've heard, they're brilliant at finding you a nice spot, especially if you've got toddlers in tow, and they even sort out little extras like paper and pens for the kids to doodle with. The indoor soft play area is a real winner if you're out with the little ones, giving you a chance to sip on some tasty drinks while they burn off energy. Plus, with affordable deals like £10 meals on weekdays and a solid lineup of events like quizzes and live sports, it's easy to see why it's popular. On the flip side, though, the food can sometimes fall short – a few people have said it's a bit basic or processed, like lamb that tastes pre-made, which might leave you wanting more if you're after something fresh. And let's not gloss over the noise; it can get a bit lively with big groups, making it hard to have a proper conversation, or the cleanliness might not always be up to scratch, with sticky tables and dodgy facilities in the toilets. All in all, it's a solid choice for a casual visit if you're not expecting anything fancy, but it's worth keeping those points in mind to manage your expectations and have a cracking time.

Pros and Cons

Pros
  • The staff are absolutely lovely and really go the extra mile to make you feel welcome, especially if you're with little ones – it's like they've got a knack for sorting out comfy spots and keeping everyone happy.
  • It's a brilliant spot for families, with that Wacky Warehouse indoor soft play area where kids can run wild while you relax with a refreshing drink, like a flavoured gin or spiced rum.
  • Prices are spot on for a budget-friendly night out; they've got deals like tucking into selected dishes for just £10 on weekdays, and it's all about that great value without breaking the bank.
  • Loads of fun things on offer, from pub quizzes and live sports to outdoor seating and a car park, making it easy to pop in for a casual get-together or to catch the big match.
Cons
  • Some folks have mentioned the food can be a bit hit-or-miss – things like burgers seeming cooked from frozen or meals that feel microwaved, so it might not always live up to expectations for a proper pub grub experience.
  • It can get quite noisy with large groups or rowdy crowds, which might spoil the vibe if you're after a quiet chat, as one person noted having to move tables due to foul language.
  • Cleanliness isn't always top-notch, with reports of sticky tables, broken facilities like soap dispensers, and only one working cubicle in the loos, which could put a dampener on things.
  • The menu might not have as much variety as you'd hope; for instance, no salads on offer, so if you're looking for lighter options, you might end up feeling a tad limited.

We came today as a little treat for our family and it was brilliant. Mia was super friendly, found us somewhere nice and comfortable to sit which is essential with a 6 month old and a 3yo! Mia was so lovely and made sure we had everything we needed from paper and a pen for my toddler to colour with all the way to making sure our 6 month old could have a little something to eat which is so rare these days! Such a great member of staff, super friendly, caring and nothing was to much trouble!

We had a party of 15, 5 quite loud children. We were looked after as soon as we got there as we had pre-booked a soft play session for 3.30 and a table outside for 5. The staff were amazing and made sure everything went smoothly for us, they had tables reserved for us in the soft play and further tables reserved for us just outside when we moved outside for food. The staff are always lovely and accommodating and managed our ridiculously big order with professionalism and humour. Happy kids, happy adults, we love this place. A great soft play area and then great food with amazing staff.

Omg, this was just the worst. We only went there for the vegan fish n chips, but they didn't have it. Huge group of loud rowdy lads who we were seated next to. We moved to a table further away but it was still too loud and the foul language was too much. Food was obviously microwaved. Not much cleaning had been done. Ketchup bottle was broken and crusted with sauce. It was a very sad and grim experience and we definitely will not return and would not recommend anyone else to even enter the car park. We chose not to have pudding or stay longer due to the noise. Definitely gone downhill.

First time going here today for late lunch .I was shocked there were no salads on the menu? As for lunch when eating out I like a chicken salad 🥗. I had the lamb kofte with pitta bread came with a small salad ,feta cheese and sweet potato fries and dressing was delicious 😋 👌. I also had holumi strips as a starter with a diet coke I asked for green tea thus wasn't available. Had no time for desert unfortunately and sat outside in the sunshine was lovely 😊

Ok for a cheap meal. Very basic. Do not expect to be nicely surprised. Lamb - processed food. Burger - seemed to be cooked from frozen. Good side - large portions. Very nice and helpful staff. Not very clean place though - sticky table, only one working cubicle, broken soap dispenser, liquid soap diluted, glasses not sparkling clean. Would be nice if there was a quiet music in the background.
