About This Pub

Ah, The Beeches Hotel – it's one of those places that really grows on you once you step inside. I've heard from folks who've stayed there that the staff are absolute gems, always going the extra mile to make your visit smooth and enjoyable, which adds such a warm touch to the whole experience. The location's spot on if you're popping over for a match at Trent Bridge or just exploring Nottingham; it's not far from the city centre, and that free parking is a lifesaver for anyone driving in. Plus, with access to the gym and spa, it's like getting a little extra treat with your stay. On the flip side, though, some rooms can be a bit noisy from the road, and there've been comments about the odd whiff or an uncomfortable bed, so it might not be the most restful spot for everyone. The breakfast is straightforward and filling, but if you're hoping for something more adventurous, you could be left wanting. All in all, it's a solid choice for a casual night out or a base for your Nottingham adventures – just keep those little downsides in mind, and you'll have a grand time.

Pros and Cons

Pros
  • The staff are incredibly friendly and helpful, always ready with a smile and quick to assist, making you feel right at home.
  • It's got a prime spot in West Bridgford, just a short hop from Nottingham city centre and near lovely spots like Trent Bridge, perfect for a pint after watching the cricket or footie.
  • Free parking is a real bonus, especially if you're driving in, and the rooms are clean and spacious with nice facilities like a gym and spa to unwind in.
  • Breakfast options can be quite yummy, with things like fresh croissants that hit the spot for a hearty start to the day.
Cons
  • Some rooms face the front and can get noisy from passing traffic, which might keep you up if you're a light sleeper.
  • There have been a few mentions of musty smells in certain rooms or beds that aren't the most comfortable, so it might not be ideal for a perfect night's rest.
  • The breakfast is pretty standard – nothing fancy, so if you're after something more exciting, you might need to look elsewhere.
  • As a bar within a hotel, it feels a bit more functional than cosy at times, and with the operating status seeming unclear, it's worth double-checking if it's open when you plan to visit.

Nice little hotel with good parking about 3km from Notting city centre. Good clean rooms and facilities. Stayed 2 nights as part of a bigger UK tour.

Lovely place to stay, I stayed whilest my son was having an operation at the qmc as I am not local to the area. The rooms are lovely and large. I used the lesure facilities and it was really peaceful and quiet.

The single room I stayed in had a mildew scent which only went away when the bathroom light/fan was switched on. The bed was not particularly comfortable either, although I did opt to sleep on top of the duvet so this might have been a factor. Hotel breakfast: it really was bog standard and filled a gap however, if I had gone to a cafe and ordered food which was then presented at the temperature that the eggs and beans were kept at, I'd have been quite disappointed. I didn't use the gym/spa area as I was only there for one night however, from what I saw, that looked pretty nice.

We are from Swindon and booked 3 nights here. Staff were so friendly and helpful. Breakfast was yummy with lovely croissants. Our room was cleaned perfectly with fresh towels each day and new tissues for my never ending cold! Parking was great and it was easy access to the city. Thank you for a great break 😀
