About This Pub

Ah, The Bay Horse – it's one of those classic British pubs that you stumble upon and think, 'This could be a hidden gem.' From what I've gathered chatting about it, the vibe is spot on with a warm, cosy feel that makes you want to linger over a pint. The locals are dead welcoming, and the beers, especially the Sam Smiths options, are just the ticket for a proper session without costing a fortune. It's open most days from around 11 in the morning till 11 at night, so it's handy for a quick stop or a full evening out. On the downside, though, there are some worrying tales about the area, with a few people mentioning it as a spot for trouble, which is a real shame and something to keep in mind if you're heading there. Plus, not all reviews are glowing; a couple reckon it's lost its sparkle lately, perhaps with the management not quite on top of things. All in all, with that 4.2 rating, it's worth popping in if you're nearby, but I'd say go with a mate and keep an eye out – it's got plenty of heart, but like any old boozer, it's not without its flaws.

  • The feedback is a bit mixed, with not everyone having a positive time, so it could be hit or miss depending on when you visit.

This is a meeting place for the local area for crime and targeting of individuals. Be careful of the local people here. They should consider changing their perspective on people and the local town.

A typical old fashioned type Sam smith pub. Pint of Taddy’s. Their strongest ale is 5% abv. Quite a relaxing atmosphere.

Gone right down the pan. Landlord too busy at his other place of work. But he's supposed to be on the sick from that job. And keep your money in your pocket. Not even worth a star at all. Unless its a minus 10.
