About This Pub

Ah, The Bar at No.15 – what a delightful spot it is, tucked away in Bath. From what I've gathered from the buzz around it, this place really knows how to hit the mark with its cocktails; they're creative and packed with flavour, leaving you wanting another round straight away. The food's no afterthought either – folks are going on about the excellent grub, like perfectly cooked duck or those standout potatoes, all served up in a cosy, artistic setting that feels like a breath of fresh air in a historic townhouse. The staff are the real gems here, always on hand with a smile and that extra bit of help, making the whole experience feel personal and enjoyable. It's dog-friendly too, which is a nice touch if you're out and about with your pooch. On the flip side, it's a bit off the beaten path in Bathwick, so you might have to plan your visit rather than just wander in, and with not many reviews floating about, it could be one of those places that's wonderfully consistent or perhaps not as lively as some busier spots. All in all, if you're after a proper, understated gem for a catch-up with friends, I'd say give it a go – it's got that perfect balance of quality and charm without trying too hard.

Pros and Cons

Pros
  • The cocktails are absolutely spot-on – full of flavour and creativity, like the cherry sidecar that one mate raved about.
  • The staff are incredibly friendly and helpful, making you feel right at home from the moment you walk in.
  • The atmosphere is just lovely, with a relaxed vibe, fantastic music, and an artistic setting in a classic Georgian townhouse.
  • The food is a real treat – think delicious, well-seasoned dishes like thinly layered potatoes or divine duck, all at reasonable prices.
  • It's dog-friendly, which is brilliant if you're popping in with your furry friend for a bite and a drink.
Cons
  • It's a tad out of the way in Bathwick, so it might not be the easiest spot to stumble upon if you're exploring the city centre.
  • With only a handful of reviews, it could feel a bit under the radar – not sure if it's always this buzzing or just quiet at times.

Top marks all the way around. Excellent food - thinly layered potatoes fried in beef fat were outstanding. Interesting and pleasant artistic setting in a classic Georgian townhouse. Friendly service. Amazing and creative drinks - try the cherry sidecar. Also features a day spa and hotel(?).

It’s such a rarity to find a bar that has great cocktails, flavourful food and a relax atmosphere. I’m so glad I stumbled upon this place. No. 15 has a variety of top quality spirits and wines with reasonable prices as well. I dined in the bar area with my dog and felt right at home. We enjoyed a lovely charcuterie board, followed by risotto and sirloin. Everything was delicious, I sending compliments to the chef and bartending. I wish I knew they were also apart of a hotel otherwise I would have definitely stayed here. When I decide to visit Bath again, I’ll be here sitting by the fire with my dog and a Manhattan.

This Rest really deserves to do well. Small menu with excellent food (chocolate mouse REALLY good), attentive service, loved the decor. Out of curiosity walked through the bar. Curiosity tables, something to discover all over. Reception with breathtaking chandelier. Wish I could afford the hotel (and they are dog friendly)

Had a wonderful lunch with my daughter as a late Mother’s Day treat yesterday, beautiful location , service excellent and food was divine. More people should use but a bit out of the way but can highly recommend. We had the duck , delicious and so yummy 😋 and cooked to perfection and well seasoned with potatoes, and veg. Great wine too. And desserts . Couldn’t fault and would go again
