About This Pub

You know, chatting about The Aviator Gin Bar feels like sharing a tip with old friends – it's this unexpected delight in an industrial spot that really surprises you. The atmosphere is what stands out most; those airplane seats and the relaxed outdoor space make it feel fresh and exciting, ideal for unwinding after a long week. Drinks are spot on with a good range at fair prices, and the food like their tacos or gyros is genuinely tasty and hits the mark for a casual bite. On the flip side, it's a shame about the inconsistent opening times, especially if you're planning around the kitchen – I've heard a few stories of folks turning up only to find it closed early, which can put a dampener on things. And while it's lovely when it's buzzing, it does get quiet sometimes, so it might not always feel as lively as you'd hope. All in all, it's a solid choice if you're nearby and up for something different, but go in with realistic expectations for a balanced night out.

Pros and Cons

Pros
  • The atmosphere is absolutely brilliant – think unique airplane seats and a chilled-out vibe that makes you feel right at home.
  • They've got a wide selection of drinks that won't break the bank, perfect for a casual catch-up with mates.
  • The food is a real treat, with tasty options like tacos, fries, and gyros that hit the spot every time.
  • Staff are super friendly and attentive, always ready with a smile and helpful advice.
  • Recent additions like the pool table and loads of TV screens add extra fun, making it a great spot for groups.
Cons
  • Opening times can be a bit hit or miss, especially for the kitchen, which might leave you disappointed if you're after food.
  • It can feel a tad quiet at times, like when it's not too busy, which might take away from the buzz.
  • Being tucked away in an industrial estate means it's not the easiest place to get to, and you might not expect it there.

Evening drinks. A large venue with few people in, on our visit. Wide range of drinks at prices that won't break the bank.. Called back yesterday, the place having a bit of an overhaul. It now has a pool table area which was really busy on this Sunday afternoon. They've installed lots of t.v. screens in the seating booths and made the booths look like airplane cockpits. Although the place was very busy there was still plenty of room for more people without it being crowded. I think the place has improved since my last review, so have altered my rating.

Food is great and the drink is reasonably priced however I wish this bar and kitchen would stick to there opening times especially when I tried to order food and I was told the kitchen had closed

Most of the foods we had wanted had sold out due to Christmas parties, but we ordered tacos and some fries and they tasted really good. Atmosphere was brilliant and so chilled out and sat in airplane seats was really fun and different, we had a group of 4, there were other seating arrangements available for larger groups. We also had a drink here and it was very reasonably priced. Will definitely be back

Lovely little surprise in the industrial estate. Great food, the staff were friendly and helpful. A fanstatic Greek food company working out of this area, too. Well worth a visit for a gyros and a beer.

This was our first night out since the relaxation of lockdown and we definitely picked the right venue. Although the bar is based on an industrial estate you wouldn't know it as the team have managed to crate a great atmosphere in their outside space. Staff were friendly and attentive, the gin was superb as you might expect with a great range of alternative drinks to choose from for the non-gin drinkers. We'll definitely be making a return visit when we can sit inside and marvel at the fantastic aviation-themed bar!!
