About This Pub
Ah, The Angel Inn – it's one of those pubs in Scarborough that you pop into and end up staying for a chat, isn't it? From what I've gathered, it's got this warm, welcoming atmosphere that makes you feel right at home, with a nice beer garden that's ideal for catching up with friends on a clear day. The staff are generally spot on, serving up well-kept pints and handling things with a smile, which is always a plus when you're settling in for the evening. Folks seem to love the overall vibe, calling it a proper little gem in the area. But, let's be honest, it's not all perfect – drinks can hit the pocket a bit hard, like forking out over a tenner for a couple of rounds, and on busier nights, they call last orders pretty early, which might leave you feeling a tad cut short. There've been a few grumbles about the odd rude encounter or that sense of being hurried out, so it's worth bearing in mind if you're after a relaxed pace. All in all, it's a solid choice for a pint and a laugh, but maybe plan ahead to make the most of it without any surprises.

Cons
-
Drinks can be a bit pricey, like splashing out £10.20 for a Guinness and a small wine, which might sting the wallet.

-
There have been a few reports of rudeness or uncomfortable situations, which can put a damper on things.
-
It sometimes feels like the staff are keen to close up, with lights dimming and curtains drawing before the official time.

Lovely little pub which I've been a few times. Only problem on a Friday night last orders called at 10.30pm. so we got a not so cheap round in £10.20 for a Guinness and a Jack rabbit small red wine bottle. Around 11pm the staff clearly wanted to go home. Curtains closed TVs switched off. Tabbles wiped. Lots of prep to go home. Others in the pub thought the same and drank up and went home. So we went round the corner to get friendly staff to be served. Happy days.
Great service beer well priced called in a lot over the last 3 days
A good little pub in Scarborough that has a decent atmosphere.
We have been in the angel pub before and was made welcome by the staff, we went today the the beer was expensive there was a table made for four that said reserved one man was sat there we went on the next table I have known men to be so rude another six sat down and they might as well sat on my knee. My husband went outside as we have a dog and I finished my drink and left
I will never go in here again.
Nice friendly pub with a good atmosphere and a nice beer garden. Saber settles well in there.
