About This Pub
Ah, The Alliance in NW6 – it's one of those pubs that just draws you in with its cosy feel and that welcoming buzz as soon as you step through the door. From what I've gathered from the reviews, the staff really make the place shine; they're dead helpful and know how to keep things fun, like during their Tuesday pub quiz where the host keeps everyone in stitches. The food's generally a winner too – think hearty roasts that folks can't stop raving about, and even cocktails that hit the spot just right. It's spot on for a family outing or catching up with mates over a pint. But, to keep it real, there have been a few off days; one person was gutted about a pricey roast that didn't quite deliver, with bits missing and all. Plus, it can feel a touch nippy inside sometimes, and the loos aren't up to scratch, which is a shame. Overall, it's a solid choice for a good night out in London, as long as you go in with realistic expectations – the highs definitely outweigh the lows, and it's got that community spirit that's hard to beat.

-
They've got a great vibe for socialising, with drinks like the old fashioned coming in for some solid compliments.
Cons
-
Some meals, like the roast dinner, can fall short of expectations, especially at £32, with missing items or just not living up to the hype.
-
It can get a bit chilly inside, which might put a dampener on things during cooler months.
-
The facilities, such as the loos, are in a bit of a state and could do with some sprucing up.
-
There are occasional niggles with the food, like roast potatoes that aren't as crispy as they'd like or gravy that's a tad too salty.

Recent Reviews
I was really disappointed with my recent roast dinner experience, especially considering the £32 price tag. Items were missing from the plate, and what was served simply didn’t live up to expectations.
We entered the pub quiz, which happens every Tuesday & its £2 per person. Whichever team wins gets everyones entry fee! The atmosphere was great, the host definitely made our night, he was entertaining and kept the vibes up high. As it was our first time we didn't know what to expect so we ended up last with 25.5/60... but we now know for next time! Would definitely come back and do it again
This pub is absolutely stunning!! The atmosphere is so warm and the staff are so lovely they let me set my iPad up and watch the Monaco Grand Prix. The chicken & beef roasts were 10/10 and the old fashion was also banging
Best Restaurant in West Hampstead!
We went for Sunday Roast and had a delightful experience! This family-friendly restaurant was excellent for the kids.
The beef sunday roast was exceptionally cooked, and the roasted chicken was filling and flavorful.
The squash carror soup was very well balances and something to come back for! Wish it was on the menu all the time!
The staff was extremely helpful and helpful. The environment was pleasant.
Will definitely be returning! And looking forward to it!
Nice pub, with a friendly atmosphere and very good service. It was a bit chilly inside at lunchtime, which was a slight drawback, and the loos were in a bit of a sorry state, but the food was good. The roast potatoes could have been a bit crispier and the gravy a bit less salty, but the meat and vegetables were nice. The scallop starter tasted good, albeit with very small scallops.
