About This Pub
You know, when I think about The Adelaide in Teddington, it's got that classic pub vibe that's just right for a relaxed catch-up with mates. Named after a 19th-century queen, it's got this warm, historic feel with a beer garden that's won awards for its blooms – imagine lounging out there on a sunny day with a cold pint in hand. The food's often a highlight too; I've heard brilliant things about the steak burgers and Sunday roasts, and it's clear from the reviews that it's a go-to for hearty meals and a good range of drinks from Shepherd Neame. Plus, with BT Sport on the screens and easy access to Twickenham, it's spot on for game days or just winding down by the fire in winter. But, let's be honest, it's not all perfect – some pints are pushing £8, which feels a tad pricey for the area, and a few recent reviews mention the food hasn't been up to scratch lately, with complaints about bland meats and staff who don't always make you feel welcome. Overall, though, with a solid 4.5 rating, I'd say it's worth popping in if you're nearby, just go in with your eyes open to the ups and downs.
Pros and Cons

-
They've got a cracking selection of beers, wines, and spirits, including ales from Shepherd Neame, and the traditional pub grub like steak burgers and Sunday roasts is generally spot on.

It's conveniently located near Teddington station and just a short hop to Twickenham, so you can pop in for a quick pint before heading out.
Cons
-
Drinks can be a bit steep – we're talking nearly £8 for a pint, which feels more like central London prices out in Teddington.
-
Some recent visits have reported disappointing food quality, like grey and tasteless meats on the roasts, which is a real shame given how good it used to be.
-
There have been a few grumbles about the staff making folks feel like an inconvenience, which can put a damper on the experience.

Tucked away on Park Road, Teddington is a fantastic pub. There's a wide range of beers, wines, and spirits with an excellent beer garden. The food menu is extensive and reasonably priced. I tried the steak burger, which was absolutely delicious! I will be coming back to try the Sunday dinner. The Landlady is friendly and welcoming. An amazing experience@
Beautiful beer garden.
The pint I bought however was one of the most expensive pints I have bought in years (just shy of £8!), real zone 1 central London prices but in zone 6. Which will likely keep me from returning in a rush.
Last few times been in the Adelaide has been a negative experience. Few years ago I was raving about the roasts and would recommend The Adelaide. No longer, all meats were grey, thin and tasteless. Such a shame.
Now I feel just an inconvenience to the staff.
An authentic English pub for this Canadian to enjoy! My cider and his ale were just right after our first day playing tourist at Hampton Court Palace. The Meaty Pie with veg on the side was piping hot and delicious.
Great wee boozer. Good service tasty food and well priced. Lots of seating area outside and TV to watch sports.
