About This Pub
Ah, The Abbey Tap – it's one of those pubs that really hits the mark for a casual get-together in Stratford. From what I've gathered chatting about it, the place has this warm, energetic feel that's spot on if you're there to catch the footie or rugby; there are loads of screens and the crowd gets properly into it, making for a memorable night. The drinks selection is a standout too – think tasty craft beers and a great lineup of cocktails, plus that bottomless brunch deal is a bargain with solid food and plenty to choose from. It's also handy being so close to the station, and the prices won't break the bank, which is always a plus for a quick pint or a bite. On the flip side, though, a few mates mentioned some off days in the kitchen, like raw chicken that wasn't sorted out properly, and the staff didn't always step up when things went wrong, which is a shame. Still, with its mix of events, a beer garden for when the sun's out, and that overall welcoming buzz, I'd say it's worth popping in – just keep your expectations in check and maybe stick to the drinks if you're unsure about the grub. All in all, it's a solid choice for a relaxed evening, as long as you're prepared for the odd hiccup.

Cons
-
There have been some dodgy experiences with food quality, like undercooked chicken, which could put a dampener on your meal.

-
The menu can be hit or miss, with not everything available as listed, so you might end up with fewer choices than expected.

A great pub in the Stratford area with a welcoming atmosphere. The drinks were well-prepared, and it was the perfect spot to catch the game. Plenty of screens and a lively crowd made for an enjoyable experience.
Easily overlooked, this pub in Stratford offers a bottomless cocktail brunch. One main course per person and unlimited cocktails, beers or spirits from the brunch menu. There is a decent range available, it's not just a limited few cocktails. The food was very good quality and the portions were easily large enough. The staff were always available to top up our cocktails. Excellent afternoon, highly recommended.
Chicken should not be pink: this was raw. Poor quality food. Staff not inclined to admit this lack of competence in the kitchen. Did not even offer to refund the plate or substitute it with another dish. £14 for raw chicken is quite the scam...
Decent pub conveniently places not too far from the station. Large space with plenty of seats and is a good place to watch sports.
Came by for lunch. They have a good selection of beer on tap and the food is ok. Good prices. The Little Rebel burger is nice enough, but the onion ring it’s serve with was a bit tough and not anything to be excited about, the garlic dough balls were pretty dry, and the chicken wings was alright.
Overall, pretty standard pub.
Nice pub to be in on a Sunday afternoon watching a football game. Good drinks.
From the menu, seems not many of the items are available, including the small plates, Earth bowl, tacos, burrito etc. So in the end we ordered Peri Peri Chicken and The Melt (but with Chicken meat).
1. Peri Peri Chicken - the sauce was well tuned, spicy but lovely. Nice chicken and salad on the side.
2. The Melt Burger - the chicken inside the burger was too fried and the skin was relatively hard.
Don’t recommend too much fried food here.
Another bonus that the staff members were all super friendly. The pub should be famous for the alcohol though, super large collection, the Gin especially - nice menu with many options for it.
In the end we had just an Apple cider and it was just right.
Hope their food menu options will revive again.
