About This Pub

Ah, The Queens Head – it's one of those reliable spots in Stratford that you can pop into for a pint and not be disappointed, really. From what I've gathered, it's got that warm, community feel with plenty of live sports on the screens and some tempting drink deals that make it easy on the pocket, especially if you're up for watching the big games or just unwinding with friends. The atmosphere seems buzzing, particularly with the music and entertainment on offer, and it's lovely that they welcome dogs, so you can bring your furry mate along for the ride. On the flip side, though, that ID requirement can feel a bit of a nuisance if you're just nipping in casually, and there have been a few grumbles about staff not always being as cheerful as you'd hope, which might leave you with a slightly flat experience. All in all, it's a solid choice for a straightforward night out, but if you're after something extraordinary, you might want to weigh up the pros and cons before heading over.

Pros and Cons

Pros
  • The drinks are affordably priced, making it a great spot for a cheeky pint without emptying your wallet.
  • It's got a welcoming atmosphere with live sports on the telly, which is perfect for catching the footy or rugby with mates.
  • They've got some cracking offers on drinks, especially during summer, so you can enjoy a bargain while soaking up the vibe.
  • The pub feels like a proper community hub, with friendly service and a nod to local favourites that makes you feel right at home.
  • It's dog-friendly and has live entertainment, adding a bit of fun and making it more than just your average boozer.
Cons
  • There's a strict ID policy for entry, which might put a dampener on spontaneous visits if you're not carrying your passport or driving licence.
  • Service can be hit or miss, with some folks mentioning the odd rude encounter behind the bar, which takes the shine off things.
  • It doesn't stand out as particularly unique, so if you're after something more memorable, you might find it a bit ordinary.

Unfortunately you now have to take your photo ID to get in. This is for all ages. I travelled half way across London to see a band playing live and I couldn't get in because I don't have photo ID. So carry your passport. Driving licence or Bus pass because you're not getting in without it.

In our time in London, one of my favorite pubs. A pint is fairly priced, and the place is certainly favored by the locals.

Visiting the area, popped in here, very friendly welcoming & great customer service with offers running on drinks, loud music which gave it a great atmosphere. Will definitely return thank you.

Nothing really special. The guy behind the bar was a bit rude after he misunderstood my order. Many better places than this

Nice pub. Good service and fairly cheap. Ideal for watching sports on the many TV screens.
