About This Pub
Ah, the Ascott in Pinner – it's one of those pubs that just feels like a proper local gem, you know? From what I've gathered from the buzz around it, folks are raving about the service; the staff go out of their way to make you feel welcome, like that reviewer who mentioned Alana being an absolute star. The food's another highlight – think hearty Sunday roasts with generous portions that leave you stuffed, and those special deals like the £8 lunch or cheap cider offers make it a budget-friendly spot for a bite. It's spot on for sports fans too, with live screenings of events like the Women's Euros, and the beer garden adds a nice touch for sunnier days. On the flip side, it does get packed during peak times, so you might end up jostling for space if you're not savvy about booking. And while it's reliable and comfy, being part of a chain means it doesn't have that quirky, individual charm some places do. All in all, if you're after a straightforward, enjoyable pub experience with good food and a friendly crowd, Ascott's definitely worth a visit – I'd say it's a solid choice for a relaxed catch-up or a family outing.
Pros and Cons
Pros
-
The service here is absolutely spot on – staff are friendly, helpful, and make you feel right at home, just like chatting with old mates.
-
The food is a real winner; think generous portions of delicious Sunday roasts and affordable deals like that £8 seniors lunch – it's proper value for money.
-
It's brilliant for catching live sports, with big screens showing events like the Women's Euros, and they've got a cosy beer garden to enjoy it in.
-
Loads of great facilities make it welcoming for everyone, whether you're popping in with the family, your dog, or just needing a spot with WiFi and parking.
Cons
-
It can get a bit lively and crowded during big events or weekends, which might make it tricky to find a seat if you're not booking ahead.
-
As a Greene King pub, it's more of a reliable chain spot than something truly unique, so if you're after a one-of-a-kind vibe, it might not quite hit the mark.

Recent Reviews
Great service, staff, food. Nice pub.
As a fairly frequent visitor, the food, staff and service is always fantastic.
On a recent visit, Alana looked after us and could not have been more helpful….friendly and polite without making too much of a fuss. Will definitely come back soon!
We went as a group for the seniors lunch for £8 and absolutely loved it!
We went again as 3.
The tomato soup of the day was delicious, but ideally, we need to try something else next time for mains (mac&cheese) and dessert (jam rolypoly).
Excellent Sunday Roast! We ordered turkey for me and beef for my husband, and we didn’t regret it! The portions were generous, and we left feeling full with no room for dessert. Highly recommend!👍
Took my family out today for Father's Day and as a Greene King Staff member for another branch, I have to say this is the best one yet. The food and drinks were amazing! Staff were warm and welcoming. Will be returning very soon.
