About This Pub
Ah, Strawberry Gardens in Stockport – it's one of those pubs that really grows on you if you catch it on a good day. From what I've gathered chatting about it, the staff are top-notch, always polite and making everyone feel at ease, which is just what you want after a long week. The food can be a real treat too; imagine tucking into a fresh hotdog with cheese and fries, all served up quickly and at a fair price – it's spot on for a casual lunch or dinner. Plus, the atmosphere is lovely and family-friendly, with free parking making it super convenient to swing by for a pint and a chat. But, let's be honest, it's not all roses; some reviews mention the grub isn't always great, and the toilets are a proper nuisance with doors that don't work right or even cameras in there, which is enough to make anyone uncomfortable. Then there's the odd flat beer that doesn't live up to expectations, and the place can look a bit worn around the edges. Still, with an overall rating hovering around excellent, it's clear most folks have a good time, so I'd say it's worth giving it a go if you're in the area – just keep your expectations balanced and maybe check the loos before settling in!
Pros and Cons
Pros

-
Some of the food hits the spot – think fresh, tasty options like a hotdog with cheese and fries, and it's great value for a casual meal.
-
It's got a really friendly, family-oriented atmosphere that's perfect for a relaxed get-together with mates or a bite to eat.
-
Free parking is a bonus, making it easy to pop in without the hassle of hunting for a spot.
-
The overall vibe can be spot on for a good night out, with a lively feel and reasonable prices that keep things affordable.
Cons
-
A few folks have mentioned the food isn't always up to scratch, with some dishes falling flat and leaving you wanting more.
-
The toilets are a bit of a letdown – issues like doors that don't lock or open properly, and that's just not on.
-
There have been complaints about the beer not being served right, like getting a flat pint instead of a proper one with a good head.
-
The place can feel a tad old and tatty in spots, which might put off those looking for something more polished.
-
Experiences vary a lot, so you might have a brilliant visit one day and a disappointing one the next.

The food isn't great service is okay bit old and tatty but the toilets are crap in women's one don't lock one don't open at all the other doesn't close. There's cameras in the toilets as well not pleased.
Came for food here had a hotdog with cheese and fries absolutely stunning food, fresh and quick service. Couldn’t thank the staff enough they were lovely and polite and a very welcoming family friendly atmosphere. In response to the last post I can’t even explain how polar opposite my experience was. Ordered a chocolate brownie for dessert was very moreish I need the recipe!!! Amazing would come again and have booked for a Sunday dinner.
Asked for a good head on my pint, didn't get one. Asked for a top up less than a couple of minutes later to be told "your pint has been sat there 5 minutes mate". 2 minutes after he topped it again in the picture. Reasonable price but not for flat beer. Didn't go and ask for a second top up. Won't be going in again.
