About This Pub

Ah, Spring Cottage – it's one of those pubs that just feels like a proper local hideaway, you know? From what I've gathered from the reviews, folks absolutely rave about the friendly vibe; the staff are dead chatty and the regulars make you feel right at home, which is just what you want after a long day. The prices are brilliant too – we're talking pints that won't dent your wallet, and they're served up nice and cold, which always hits the spot. There's a real community spirit here, with events going on, sports matches on the screens, and a pool table for a game or two, making it a top choice for a relaxed evening out. On the downside, it's not exactly in the heart of things, so if you're after something more central, you might find it a tad out of the way and need to plan ahead. Plus, without any online info, it's a bit old-school – no quick checks for what's on offer. All in all, if you're up for a genuine, budget-friendly spot with a great atmosphere, it's worth popping in; the solid 4.3 rating speaks for itself, and the recent reviews are glowing!

Pros and Cons

Pros
  • The staff and regulars are so welcoming and friendly, it really makes you feel like part of the community right away.
  • Prices are an absolute bargain – you'll get a crisp, cold pint without breaking the bank, which is always a winner.
  • The atmosphere is spot on, with great events, sports on the telly, and even a pool table for a bit of fun.
  • It's a relaxed and quieter spot just off the main drag, ideal for a laid-back chat or a cheeky half without the crowds.
Cons
  • It's a bit tucked away from the town centre, so you might have to make a bit of an effort to get there if you're not local.
  • There's no website or online presence, which makes it tricky to check out the latest on events or opening times before you go.

Friendly, local pub. Just out of the main hub of pubs, but worth a visit, especially if you want somewhere a little quieter and relaxed. Great prices too.

This hidden gem just off the town centre is a real community pub. A warm welcome from the owner and a high standard of service from the staff. Glasses chilled in fridges behind the bar ensure a crisp cold pint. The prices surely cannot be beaten. Several tv's for sports fans, a pool table and even a designated area complete with toys for the children. Well done to the team behind this pub. Its a triumph.
