About This Pub
You know, I reckon Slug & Lettuce in Bath is one of those places that really hits the mark for a good time out – it's got that easy-going energy where you can pop in for a cheeky cocktail or a full bottomless brunch without any fuss. From what I've gathered, the staff are an absolute delight, always on hand with a smile and quick service, like Thomas and Emily who seem to go the extra mile to make sure everyone's enjoying themselves. The food's a proper treat too, with options that cover everything from hearty toasties to gluten-free picks, and those deals make it feel like a bargain even in the heart of Bath. On the downside, it's not ideal if you're after a quiet spot, as it can get rammed on busier days, and if you've got the kids in tow, you'll need to wrap things up early since they're only allowed until the evening. All in all, it's a solid choice for a laugh with friends, but it might not suit everyone looking for something a bit more intimate or family-focused – still, I'd say give it a go for those feel-good moments.
Pros and Cons
Pros
-
The staff are absolutely brilliant – friendly and enthusiastic, making every visit feel special, just like chatting with old mates.
-
Fantastic value with deals like bottomless brunch and after-work offers, so you can enjoy top-notch food and drinks without breaking the bank.
-
Delicious food options, including gluten-free choices and tasty cocktails, that cater to all sorts of tastes and keep things inclusive.
-
A welcoming atmosphere with outdoor seating and being dog-friendly, perfect for a relaxed catch-up on a sunny day.
Cons
-
It can get quite busy on weekends, which might mean waiting for a table and losing that cosy vibe you sometimes crave.
-
Children are only welcome until early evening, so it might not be the best spot for a full family day out beyond that.
-
As a chain pub, it lacks a bit of that unique local character, feeling more like a reliable high street option rather than a hidden gem.

We did bottomless brunch and served by Thomas! He was an absolute treat as a host. The Buratta Toast was lovely, and filling. Had enough options for the gluten free of the group so well catered for. Will definitely visit again.
Thomas, Charlotte and Laura were great. Really friendly and so enthusiastic. Highlight of the day is Thomas’ Woo woo! We had a great time, nice food and the service was incredible
I took my daughter's for a bottomless brunch for a birthday treat. We were given a bottle of prosecco with flame candle when we arrived, so off to an excellent start. We were outside and it was lovely, great food and an amazing waitress named Emily. She was so lovely and made sure we all had a great time. Thank you all at the Slug and Lettuce, Bath. Would definitely recommend.
Tuesday are the day to come for bottomless brunch, staff were amazing, quick and responsive good service round
Was quiet when we visited on a Tuesday night, but that was to be expected.
Service was friendly and efficient, and the food came quickly.
We did the after work deal where you got a drink and meal for £12 so it was very good value.
I suspect this place gets very busy at the weekends
Was clean and tidy
