About This Pub

You know, if you're ever wandering around Bath and fancy a spot that's a step up from the usual, Se7en is one I'd happily recommend – it's got that perfect blend of sophistication and fun. I love how they've nailed the cocktails; they're not just your standard pours, but proper masterpieces with fresh botanicals and innovative twists that leave you wanting more. Pair that with their charcoal-grilled dishes, like the mouthwatering small plates or that incredible pork belly, and you've got a meal that'll stick in your memory. The vibe is spot on too – it's warm and relaxed, with staff who go out of their way to make sure you're looked after, whether you're popping in for a quick drink or a full evening out. That said, it does tend to fill up quickly, especially in such a lively part of town, and the prices reflect the quality, so it might not be ideal for a budget night. Plus, if you're aiming for a Sunday session, keep in mind the kitchen wraps up earlier, which could cramp your style. All things considered, it's a gem for anyone after a memorable experience with great food and drinks, but it's worth planning around those little niggles to make the most of it.

Pros and Cons

Pros
  • The cocktails are an absolute delight – handcrafted with premium spirits and fresh ingredients, making every sip a real treat.
  • The food is top-notch, especially the grilled dishes and small plates like mac and cheese or kimchi chicken that burst with flavour and creativity.
  • The staff are so welcoming and attentive, creating a warm atmosphere that makes you feel right at home from the get-go.
  • It's a versatile spot for all sorts of occasions, whether you're catching up with friends over drinks or celebrating something special.
Cons
  • It can get quite busy in the centre of Bath, so you might need to book ahead to avoid disappointment.
  • The kitchen closes a bit early on Sundays, which could limit your options if you're after a late meal.
  • Prices might feel a tad steep for regular visits, given it's a cocktail bar with premium offerings.

Celebrated a family birthday here a couple of weeks ago on a Thursday night. There were a few tables eating even early on a Thursday. The food was excellent! We were advised when we potentially were going to over-order, so they care more about enjoying everything you have and being able to consume it all, rather than taking your money and leaving food to waste. The Tomahawk steak was a standout dish, and the vegetable sides were delicious! We also had the prawns, tuna and sticky pork - all excellent! The wine list is good, though our 2nd bottle could have been slightly more chilled, but it was good and complemented the dishes we had. Would definitely visit again and it's great for a special occasion. We didn't sample any cocktails, but would pop back for a couple in the future even if we weren't eating.

Se7en is a little foodie gem in the centre of Bath. I wish I’d taken photos of everything we ordered but it was an adventure for your taste buds. The mac and cheese was like no other and the kimchi chicken was another level. It’s a very unsuspecting place for incredible food but grab yourself a table outside over the summer and enjoy a delicious range of small plates. The orange chocolate and honeycombs mousse is my dream dessert and this lived up (and therefore I took a cheeky photo for the mems). The service team as well were so friendly and really funny.

We visited as a group of 6 and as soon as we walked in were warmly greeted by the front of house team who were kind, friendly and welcoming. The food though was the real star of the show, the concept allows its self to all dining experiences wether an informal business meeting, cocktails and nibbles with friends or a full blown meal where sampling the whole menu is a must! Fresh locally sourced produce makes every dish pop and all the dishes have unique elements which show the skills and attention to detail of the chefs. If you’re visiting Bath or live locally to it, it’s a must on your next dining experience! Keep up the great work, open in Bristol next yeah? 👀

Tucked away in the heart of Bath, Se7en is a gem that effortlessly blends style, substance, and flavour. Co-owned and helmed by talented chef Miles, this spot delivers a dining experience that is both memorable and refreshingly honest. The moment you step inside, you're met with a warm and inviting atmosphere, complemented by tasteful decor that strikes the perfect balance between modern and intimate. The space feels thoughtfully designed, setting the stage for what turns out to be an exceptional meal. The menu focuses on small plates, and every dish is a testament to quality, fresh ingredients, and Miles' confident yet unpretentious approach to cooking. Flavours are vibrant, well-balanced, and deeply satisfying. Each plate is crafted with care, and you can tell that seasonality and produce are at the heart of the kitchen. What's more, the pricing is surprisingly reasonable, making it easy to sample a variety of dishes without breaking the bank. Se7en is a place where great food, atmosphere, and value come together seamlessly — perfect for a relaxed evening with friends, a date night, or simply anyone who appreciates good food done right. Will be returning for Mother's Day.

Had some amazing food at Se7en this evening. Their small.plates are epic! We had soft shell crab with this amazing fresh dip and salty crispy seaweed. Steak tartar which was banging. Beautiful buttermilk chicken. The best pork belly ever! Slow cooked, rolled, and just melts in your mouth. We'll definitely be smashing in some steaks next time! Cocktails were delicious, and the staff were on point.
