About This Pub

Ah, Ryan's Bar & Restaurant – it's one of those places in Belfast that just hits the spot for a relaxed get-together with mates. From what I've gathered, the food is spot on; think succulent wings, hearty roasts, and cocktails that go down a treat, all at prices that won't break the bank. The Sunday deals are a real winner if you're after something special without the hefty cost. The staff seem like a friendly bunch, always on their toes even when the crowd's in full swing, which makes the whole experience feel warm and inviting. On the flip side, though, the menu could do with a bit more clarity for those after veggie or vegan choices – it's not always straightforward, and that might leave a few scratching their heads. Still, it's a buzzing spot that's perfect for a good laugh and a solid meal, so I'd say it's well worth a visit if you're in the area, just maybe plan ahead for busier nights.

Pros and Cons

Pros
  • The food is absolutely delicious, with highlights like the classic wings, Sunday roasts, and tasty cocktails that leave you wanting more.
  • Incredible value for money, especially with deals like the Sunday £14 offer or the two-course meal, making it a brilliant choice for a budget-friendly night out.
  • The staff are really attentive and efficient, even when the place is buzzing, which makes for a welcoming and smooth experience.
  • It's a lively, bustling spot with a great atmosphere, perfect for a fun evening, and they've got a decent whiskey selection to boot.
Cons
  • The menu can be a bit confusing when it comes to vegetarian and vegan options, as it's not always clear what's available, which might put some folks off.
  • It gets incredibly busy at times, so you might have to wait a tad for service or a table, though the team does their best to keep things moving.

We had a lovely table upstairs, it was very busy but watching the staff and they were on the ball cleaning tables and attending well to everyone. The Sunday £14 deal is great value, the classic famous wings are delicious!! And we had the Sunday roast dinners which were really tasty and well cooked, only a £2 supplement each with the deal. We also had the banoffee pie and it was delicious! Had a few wines each also and the temperature of the red and white wines was perfect. Couldn't fault our service staff either, very attentive and polite. Been here many times and will be back again and again. Most restaurants or bars in Belfast should take note

Sold neighbourhood bar that was busy and bustling on a Monday night, attentive staff, tasty food, but a decent well priced whiskey collection was the win for me.

we came here on valentines day and the service was great and quite fast even though it was so busy, and the staff were very nice. the food was delicious and very filling, i would definitely recommend the 2 course meal deal as it is such a good price for what you get, cocktails were very nice too

Two words, EXCEPTIONAL VALUE! Me and the wife were here for a Sunday meal. I had the chicken wings to start and she had cheesy garlic bread with hot honey, very good all round! Main courses were the pork belly roast and fish and chips for me. No complaints here too, all good quality food. Our two courses and two large Pepsi Max was £37, you couldn’t beat it with a big stick! Will defo be back.

Went for a quiz night, had food and drinks before hand. Overall it was a fun night, but there were a few issues. The food was really nice, but the menu is a bit confusing for vegetarian and vegan options. It says the meat version and then vegetarian/vegan options available. For example there's a King Prawn Risotto which says vegan options available, but it doesn't say what is in the vegan option. This means that you have to ask the server about what's in every vegetarian/vegan option. Would be better if there was a separate vegetarian & vegan menu, or a separate section on the main menus. There were no coasters/beer mats on the tables, so the condensation of the drinks kept getting the table wet. Halfway through the night the upstairs area got really warm, and a lot of people seemed to be struggling with it. It was probably only this warm because it was a quiz night and was completely full, but they should have turned on the air conditioning.
