About This Pub

Ah, the Jeggy Nettle – it's one of those Belfast spots that just draws you in with its infectious energy and that cracking live music scene. I've heard from loads of folks that the atmosphere is spot on, whether you're there for a casual drink or to catch a gig, and the staff are absolute stars, always on hand with a smile and top-notch service. Those cosy little seating areas are a nice touch too, giving you a chance to settle in and have a proper natter without feeling hemmed in. Plus, being dog-friendly means it's ideal if you're popping out with your pup. On the flip side, though, the prices can sting a bit – think twice before ordering rounds, as it adds up quicker than you'd expect. And on busier nights, it fills up fast, so you might end up jostling for space or standing about. All in all, it's a cracking choice for a fun evening, but go in with your eyes open to the hustle and bustle, and you'll have a whale of a time.

From the outside the Jeggy Nettle looks like a friendly neighbourhood pub, but you only have to buy a drink to discover in one important aspect – the pricing – it’s up there with far more exclusive establishments. £40 for two double vodka cokes and a single? That’s on a level with the hottest establishments in London, New York or even Dubai! Rarely do you see such bold, ambitious pricing in such humble environs, and I salute the owners for their courage in having a vision of charging more than any other watering hole in Belfast and going for it. They’ve been richly rewarded for it too; we parted with £80 for just six drinks. There is also live music which was nothing special, but when you’re paying this much for booze you feel like you’re at Wembley Stadium watching Ed Sheeran! Recommended to anyone who’s unafraid of checking their banking app the next morning. I know I was surprised!

Great atmosphere and a decent selection of your drinks. The pub has a cozy and welcoming vibe, with seating areas tucked into corners that gives privacy to its patrons. It can get quite crowded however, especially on weekends, so finding a good spot becomes challenging. A plus side is the live music which really aided to the feel. The biggest downside, however, was the pricing - the drinks and food felt noticeably overpriced for what you’re getting.

This an awesome little bar which seems to always have a great atmosphere, does live music, food on occasions, had good bar staff and this place encourages and caters for dogs. Well made cocktails, cosy seating nooks and friendly locals all year round. Ended up going 3 times in 5 days, despite being outside of city center. Located right next to Botanical gardens and good eateries which the pub allows you to bring in anytime. Thanks for a great visit guys... 👌🍻
