About This Pub
Ah, Royal Quays Brewers Fayre – it's one of those reliable pubs where you can pop in for a bite after a day out, and I've got to say, it's got plenty going for it. The breakfast is a real highlight; think juicy sausages, crispy bacon, and a nice array of options that leave you feeling sorted for the morning. Pair that with the friendly staff who go out of their way to make sure you're happy, and it's easy to see why folks keep coming back. It's spot on for families too, with that indoor play area keeping the kids entertained while you enjoy a drink, and don't forget the outdoor playground for sunnier days. Plus, if you're into your footie, catching a live game here with some affordable lunch deals makes for a cracking afternoon. On the flip side, though, it's not all perfect – you might run into things like grubby cutlery now and then, which is a bit of a letdown, or notice that the food isn't always consistent, depending on the day. And sometimes, sorting out vouchers can cause a queue, leaving you waiting a tad longer than you'd like. Overall, it's a solid choice for a casual get-together, and I'd recommend giving it a go if you're in the area, just keep expectations realistic for that true pub experience.
Pros and Cons
Pros
-
The food is generally spot on, especially the breakfast buffet with tasty sausages, bacon, and a good selection of juices and hot drinks – it's a great way to start the day.
-
Staff are always friendly and polite, making you feel right at home, which really adds to the welcoming vibe.
-
It's brilliant for families, with an indoor play area for the little ones and even a playground outside, plus kids eat free under certain deals.
-
They show live football, so it's perfect if you're looking to catch a match while enjoying a pint and some hearty grub.
-
Value for money is decent, like those new lunch dishes from just £5, or adding a starter or dessert for a bargain price.
Cons
-
Occasionally, there are slip-ups with things like dirty cutlery, which can put a damper on an otherwise nice meal.
-
Food quality might vary a bit depending on who's in the kitchen, as one visit could be better than another, so it's a bit hit or miss at times.
-
There can be hold-ups with ordering if staff are sorting out vouchers or deals, which might slow things down when you're eager for your food.

All the buffet breakfast food was nice -sausages, bacon, beans, tomatoes, mushrooms, hash browns. Good choice of juice, tea coffee
DIRTY CUTLERY was the worst thing .
The service was excellent & all the staff were very friendly and polite..
Stopped by here for breakfast coming off the Amsterdam ship. Very good selection and tasty breakfast! Coffee also quite strong and definitely woke me up. Staff was very kind and friendly. Would definitely come back!
Had a lovely time there on Sunday, the carvery is great and they have a soft play and playground outside, perfect for family with kids, definitely will go back ;)
Stopped in the premier inn next door and had the meal deal included. I was a bit dubious as the beefeater chains are a lot better, and i am not the biggest fan of brewers fayre. However, it was better than most I have been to. I suppose it's just luck off the draw who's cooking. The mixed grill was pretty good, and the breakfast the next day was also. Only negatives were the coffee machine wasn't working and had a fault on it. This was attempted to be fixed by the staff unfortunately unsuccessfully.
A much better visit this time, all of the staff we encountered were fabulous. There was a big holdup on ordering our food because the staff member was assisting a customer to redeem multiple vouchers from one meal or group of people which meant he had to check multiple invoices from previous days but this wasn't a problem so long as we got served!
We did, and the food was lovely. Hot and fresh with attentive staff making sure everything was ok.
A sea change to our last visit!
