About This Pub
You know, when I popped into the Rose & Crown, it just had that classic village pub feel that's so hard to beat – right on the edge of Mayer Park, it's become a real hub for the locals. They've got an absolute belter of a beer selection, with eight hand pulls offering a mix of regulars and ever-changing guest ales from top Wirral breweries; it's perfect if you're after something special like a Brimstage session ale or a Peerless IPA. Plus, they're all about supporting the community, like backing Brighter Bebington, which gives it that extra heartwarming touch. The live music nights are a proper treat too, adding a fun energy that gets everyone in the mood for a good singalong or chat. And at inexpensive prices, it's easy to make a night of it without worrying about the wallet. On the downside, though, it can get a bit overwhelming with the noise from those gigs, making it tricky if you're hoping for a quiet catch-up. I've heard a few tales of staff not being as friendly as they could be, like skipping orders or seeming a bit off, which is a pity because it doesn't happen all the time. Still, with such a strong overall rating, it's clear most folk have a brilliant time, so I'd say it's worth giving it a go – just pick your visit wisely for the best experience.

Great little pub with a lad on a guitar.
Slightly to load for such a small place.
However, pleasent evening.
This is a fantastic village pub.
Run by excellent licensees & staff.
Has great selection of beers, friendly atmosphere.
Well worth a visit. 🍻
Great atmosphere and beautiful little pub but the staff are rude and miserable maybe just on my visit but was standing waiting for a drink and someone who came to the bar after me was served first without asking who’s next. This for me as a publican is the worst customer service.
I haven't been here for years but it's still a good local pub with a good range of beers and wines.
Such a friendly and traditional pub. Great staff and always has a good selection of beers and gins. It's a bustling pub, but it's always easy to get served.
Getting a table can be tricky at peak times, but it ebbs and flows with its busyness.
