About This Pub
Ah, the Rose and Crown, it's one of those pubs that just feels like a second home, you know? From what I've gathered, it's got this wonderful traditional atmosphere with a miners theme and some cracking old pictures that really bring the history to life. The staff are absolute stars, always up for a chat and making sure everyone feels welcome, whether you're a local or just passing through. They've nailed the beer selection too, with a solid range of ales and guest brews that keep things interesting and aren't too pricey. And if you're up for a bit of fun, there are games like darts and pool to dive into – perfect for a group get-together. On the flip side, it's a shame they don't do full meals, just some crisps, so if you're peckish for more than that, you might have to plan ahead. Plus, their online presence is a bit dodgy, and the opening times can seem confusing, but once you're there, it's all worth it for that genuine pub experience. Overall, it's a top spot if you're after a friendly pint and a good laugh, but maybe not the first choice for a fancy dinner.

Great friendly place. Good choice of beers and lager
Traditional pub with friendly staff, good ales on offer. With a miners theme and old pictures
This pub is under new ownership and they have really tried to put some soul into the place, they have your standard beers on draft but they have guest beers that are brilliant and not too pricy. They have games nights but even if you aren’t a regular, they make you feel welcome. I wish it, or I, were closer!
Great to see a couple of interesting and well-kept real ales which change regularly. This is a proper local pub but offers a warm welcome to visitors.
Wonderful traditional pub. John and Theresa give a friendly welcome. There is real ale, and plenty of traditional pub games, such as darts , dominos, pool and Skittles! They don't do food, but have Pipers crisps, the next best thing!
