About This Pub

Ah, Robin Hood in Newcastle – what a gem for a casual get-together with mates or a family outing. From what I've gathered from folks' chats, it's got this warm, homely feel with staff who go out of their way to make you comfortable, and the food? Well, it's spot on – piping hot, tasty dishes with loads of options that won't leave you disappointed. That big garden with the bouncy castle and toys is a real winner for keeping the little ones entertained while you enjoy a cold one in the sunshine. It's affordably priced too, so you can have a proper night out without worrying about the wallet. On the flip side, though, the interior's a bit on the old-school side and could use a spruce-up to match the rest; it's not falling apart or anything, but it might not wow you if you're after something more modern. And yes, you might have to be patient for your meal sometimes, but from the sounds of it, it's worth the wait. All in all, if you're after a relaxed, family-friendly spot with good grub and a laid-back atmosphere, I'd say give it a go – it's got that classic pub charm that's hard to beat.

Pros and Cons

Pros
  • The staff are incredibly friendly and helpful, making you feel right at home as soon as you walk in.
  • The food is absolutely delicious and well-presented, with a great menu offering plenty of choices to suit everyone.
  • It's got a lovely large garden with a bouncy castle and play areas for the kids, ideal for family gatherings or sunny days out.
  • Prices are really reasonable, so you can enjoy a good meal and drinks without breaking the bank.
  • The beer garden is brilliant for soaking up the sunshine, and it's in a quiet little village spot that's perfect for a relaxed pint.
Cons
  • The inside feels a tad outdated and could do with a bit of modernisation to freshen things up.
  • There can be a bit of a wait for the food at times, even if it's worth it in the end.
  • It might not be the most contemporary pub around, which could put off those looking for something more polished.
