About This Pub

Ah, the Ring O Bells Inn – it's one of those spots that sounds like a proper hidden gem in Middleton, Manchester. From what I've gathered from the reviews, the beer is spot on, with folks raving about its quality and even its nods in the Good Beer Guide. Pair that with super friendly staff and a cosy atmosphere full of games and sports on the telly, and you've got yourself a classic pub experience that just draws you in. There's even a nice beer garden for those rare sunny days and events with live acts that keep things entertaining. But, and it's a big but, it looks like it might be closed right now, which is a bit gutting after hearing all the positives. Plus, without any operating hours or a website to check, it's a hassle to sort out a visit. Still, if you can catch it when it's up and running, it'd be a great shout for a relaxed pint with mates – just keep an eye out for updates to avoid disappointment.

Pros and Cons

Pros
  • The beer is top-notch, with mentions in the Good Beer Guide for its quality and selection
  • Friendly and welcoming staff who make you feel right at home from the moment you walk in
  • A cosy, traditional atmosphere with games, sports on the TVs, and a real community vibe
  • Lovely beer garden for enjoying a pint on sunny days, plus plenty of car parking nearby
  • Regular live acts and events that add a fun, lively touch throughout the year
Cons
  • It seems like the place might be closed at the moment, which is a real shame given the rave reviews
  • No operating hours listed anywhere, making it tricky to plan a visit
  • Limited online presence with no website, so it's hard to get the latest updates or details
  • Not many recent reviews to go on, so you might wonder if things have changed since the last buzz

A regular entry in the Good Beer Guide is entirely justified on the quality of the beer I’ve just had. Terrific, super friendly service as well.

Pleasantly situated opposite Middleton Parish Church, hence the name. Nice clientele and a friendly welcome from mine host. No cooking smells, so rather unique.
